Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I loved that quote when I first saw it in the game 000
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Oh right, well I would just build near the hotspot 🤷🏻♂️ I mean if I need more power for the type of base then find the hotspot first & then build around it. If power is not as important as the location of the build, then don’t worry about it. It’s just nice not having to figure out power grid balance 010
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 26/09/2026What trouble are you running into using the EMs? The most annoying to me about them is just finding the hotspots. Sometimes I find a really cool area I want to build a base but there is not hotspots nearby so you have to constantly search, but with some of the bases that I use EM, it’s amazing 100
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Dude that looks great! Here is one of my bases that’s an island castle with a light house and a silver mine underwater with a platform. I have other various base types that I have loved building and I’m still tweaking and working on it. 122
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 17/09/2026You’ve nailed it. I’ve only been in NMS by since 2024, so I’m new compared to those fans that have been around since 2016 but I keep telling people the surprising thing for me that I think is a great selling point about the game is you can play however you want. You can do the most or least! 181
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 15/09/2026That’s my perspective too. It’s a game that allows to play in whatever way that’s fun and entertaining for you and you can go visit a star. This was me several days ago in one of my home star systems 010
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Like what specifically are the current “pain points” or “excruciating” bad gameplay? Not in 2016 because I looked up what the game was like in 2016 and I wouldn’t have played it but in 2026…hell yeah it’s a great game 000
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I didn’t say no one hated I just said in general “hate” being thrown at it. But what exactly are the pain points in the game? I’ve put in 400+ hours as well and I love the game. Also from my perspective the game has been great since I bought it, what does it matter to me what it was like in 2016? 100
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I totally agree. I just don’t understand the hate towards the NMS in 2026. In 2016, I would totally get it but by now they have pretty much delivered on 90% or more on what they promised and there’s not really another game that is like it and working. So the whole “I want more” is weird to me 120
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I started playing NMS in 2024…..the game is one of the best sandbox games of all time. Give it an another shot. What I love about the game is that you can play it however you want to play it. 111

Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I mean if his goal his another sandbox like NMS but different thematically I trust his judgement especially after he said he learned a lot from the NMS launch. I’m very excited for LNF! 000

Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 07/07/2026What’s been helping me recently is reading this book. It’s reminded me that this isn’t the first time we have been divided & desperately trying to hold our union together. We are a good people, i truly believe that. But like any family, we have arguments & making a plurality democracy work is HARD. 120
Andrew Manning @buckarooandrew.bsky.social · 07/07/2026Of course not. But I’ve been coming around to the thought that pointing this out to them won’t change their minds. We have to figure out to reach them and speak to them on their level. I don’t know what that looks like but yeah. 110
