It is finally time for the long anticipated 120 Star blindfolded speedruns!!! The official first run will happen on 5th September 2026 (time

The goal this time will not be a one-and-done, but one of the biggest grinds you will ever witness in blindfolded speedrun history! The goal: close to HALVING the world record time. Anything between 5-7 hours seems possible with the new strategies.

160

A few fun facts: On 8th May 2022, I performed the world first and only blindfolded 120 star speedrun in 11 hours and 22 minutes. Over the next years, I have been improving various WRs in the game, and optimized, rerouted, and practiced EVERY SINGLE STAR in the game.

We found some really cool new techniques for blindfolded Mario 64! Especially useful for 120 star! youtu.be/g6CyZy1eVC4

Also it seems many mentioned the gradient design choice as it looks AI, that was a super intentional choice by me already when I made and commissioned the logo LOL. We can definitely work on that as well 😁

060

Oh yeah API and general documentation is also coming! It all needs some time, its day 1 and the roadmap is long haha. Just wanna be open about all this as I saw many people asking! Any suggestions, concerns and feedback always welcome via Discord (it gets lost here)!

170

So no, the whole thing is not AI generated. I conceptualized the whole system, implemented the backend, database, hosting and and also learned a ton of React in the process to make the site! Valid concerns about the UI, those will be reworked and I am also talking to frontend devs already! 🔽

270

Heyo! About concerns if this is entirely vibecoded: Im a full backend dev, so while learning the frontend part I did use some coding help to start out as you can see. My wish is to open source the frontend as many suggested, so everyone can put their ideas into this and help shape this properly! 🔽

There are a lot of features upcoming in the next weeks during the beta, and we can probably expect a few bugs here and there but so far its going smooth so check the site out and have some fun with it! <3

050

If you see this and you want your main speedgame added asap, contact me in Discord and I can help you set it all up! The faster and more boards we get running with milestones, art etc. the more fun it will be for every user!

160

We are launching today with the beta, currently we have Super Mario 64 on the site. Over the next days, I will contact speedrunners and moderators of other sites if they want to help out creating a beginner-friendly and fun board on our site as well!

180

This is a passion project I worked on for a long time now. It should try to bring some innovation and motivation into the speedrunning scene. Main Features: seasonal leaderboards, time-based milestones, ranked points across games, events and more!
