Just watched an excellent interview on Washington Week with host Jeffrey Goldberg and author Josh Tyrangiel, Ai for Good, on the good and bad of AI. Conclusion: government needs to bring companies together and devise oversight while it's still possible. Conversely, AI can find cures more quickly.

In a CBC interview, Yonatan gave the example of Europe and the centuries of war that they waged against one another. Today, they are one very strong trading block, standing together against threats from beyond their borders. Why not Israel and Palestine? Maybe one day! Let us hope so. '

Alberta at Noon on CBC radio today had two knowledgeable guests and callers with good suggestions. One was from a man who said that the separatist parties should run in the next election. I tend to agree as that way there would be more time to debate their platform and have a reliable vote count.

But, if you start mixing religion with politics, and "imposing" certain religious values on your citizens, that's not the religious freedom that Canadians have always known. Jesus said, "My Kingdom is not of this world." Mixing religion and politics is a dangerous path we should not follow.

About the Christian Leadership Summit held May 4 and 5, I respect Christians who are living their Christian values - "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." That's a value that most religions espouse. It makes for good living. It's a choice.

I do appreciate your response and your support. A prof from the US, recently moved to Canada, reminded us in a recent CBC radio interview with Matt Galloway, to learn from Americans and their experience with democracy. We should not rely on some sort of "exceptionalism" - that it can't happen to us.

The Alberta Act, 1905: #21. All Crown lands, mines and minerals and royalties incident thereto, and the interest of the Crown in the waters within the province.......shall continue to be vested in the Crown and administered by the Gov of Canada for the purposes of Canada. When did that change?

I have a question about the Alberta Act, 1905. 1) Section 20........said province will not have the public land as a source of revenue. Why? BTW, Section 19 spells out the sum of $405, 375 in half-yearly payments the Government of Canada will pay, with increases according to populaton.

I would like to see Heather McPherson's Private Member's Bill C 387 - Act to Amend Canada Pension Plan re-introduced. The intention of it is to protect our Pension Plan from Alberta's designs to withdraw from it. All Canadians should be aware and involved in this "design" as our future is at stake

It was so, so good to see Canada, along with France and the UK, condemning Netanyahu's actions in blocking aid and food to the Palestinians, with Sanctions in the works if this doesn't change. And thanks to the EU and other countries doing the same, aid is finally being allowed in! Finally!
