RONALD REAGAN (1988): We should be aware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag.

I asked COPILOT. Woke a term that originated in African American Vernacular English has evolved overtime. Initially it meant being aware of social & political issues, particularly related to racial & social justice. It encouraged people to stay informed & vigilant about injustices & inequalities.

Born in 1959 in Australia I was always in awe of the United States of America. Maybe I was more than a little disillusioned when I found out in my mid 60s that the American Dream was not what I thought it was.
