We visit Canada often and they have beautiful rec centers that cost under $5 a person per day for anyone to use. I couldn't figure out why the US doesn't have similar public facilities and then I finally got it. It's the "diversity" as your dad says. So sad.

I'm definitely not saying that it was wrong for me to want to go see another show... i'm saying that the trap is the compulsion. It's that when you face that compulsion, you're then liberated to do what you actually want to do in that moment. It's about being free from the "should" ideas.

I do think it's rewarding to have different experiences, but at some point you've gone out to see concerts and the marginal experiential value of seeing the 300th show diminishes verses being rested in the morning to spend time with your kids.

This. A lack of self-love drives people to accumulate wealth/power and when acquiring that wealth fails make them feel better and often makes them feel worse, the spiral often accelerates because they have even more power to chase the dragon.

Every car should have a breathalyzer and we should have better public transit. That was part of my message to my daughter: Canada and Europe have younger drinking ages cause most teenagers have access to public transit.

ICE took my friend and neighbor, Alma. Didn't tell anyone. Left her car in a random parking lot. She was about a mile from our homes. She had her uniform on, going to work. I think Salk fairly pointed out this morning that the coming QB controversy is about whether you want Darnold or Lock and $30million in cap savings. Too soon to tell but I could see getting there. The thing that's hard to get around is that the locker room will want to see Darnold get paid.
