I picked Horde on PvP Beta specifically to avoid having to group up with his ilk. This is like the *one* thing that makes me glad that live servers are still region separated. Even if I'd love to be able to play with y'all across the pond

Also. Tryndamere I guess. Only reason I still have Windows at all is because Riot won’t make a version of Vanguard for Linux.

Not planning to travel to the US anytime soon due to the current presidency but are they anything like Berlin's cajun fries? Because at that point it'd genuinely be worse than no spices lmao

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. I did finish the levelling campaign there, so I guess it counts.

Merged them into one mega server for pve, one for pvp and one for hardcore. And then to alleviate area congestion they used layering

Not really. Game carts are just flash storage. Effectively a small read only SD card or SSD in a special form factor. Optical media is generally more of a problem tbh.

9. This isn't a sad scene per se? It's moreso beautiful if anything. But it did make me cry. Still makes me emotional to be honest But the credits for NieR Automata Ending E. The whole message around being selfless in it. About helping others for nothing in return, and the messages of encouragement

8. Either NieR Replicant or FFXIV WoW has some standout tracks too but as a whole it's not as good. League of Legends also has some standout music but basically none of it appears in-game so can't really count it I feel

5. Another hard one. There are many candidates here tbh. A lot of the SciADV girls are goals in terms of looks. Rimi and Momo comes to mind, for example. Though one of my first egg moments were Lightning from Final Fantasy 13. A game I haven't even played. I just thought she seemed super cool

4. League of Legends ez.

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/12/2024

If we're not counting MMO expansions, though, Magicka. I didn't play much of it, but the magic system in it really intrigued me.

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/12/2024

3. Hmm. I'm gonna treat MMO expansions as a separate game here - and for that: World of Warcraft Cataclysm. Its general design mixed with the following expansion, Mists of Pandaria, pretty much made FFXIV what it is today.

2. God, that one's hard. Arthas Menethil or Emet-Selch in terms of being well written I'd say though

Props for knowing to actually ask for the CPR number :p ...Unfortunately you also forgot to ask for my MitID username and direct access to my MitID :p (And no, you can't social engineer your way out of that one easily xD)

If we count edutainment games, it was either Magnus & Myggen (Skipper & Skeeto) or Pixeline. If we don't count edutainment, then the original Gran Turismo on PS1 or Pokémon Emerald come to mind.

Stealing this. Whaddya wanna know?

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

I don't even mind a lot of important characters being reincarnations, but for Ryne specifically it seems kind of counter to her story haha

010 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

To be fair, Ardbert also doesn't try to force himself access to our body and take control of your body at the expense of your soul like Mitron does with Ryne. The possession also kind of implies dominance over the primary resident's soul?

100 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

I think Mitron would have known. Mitron, though, talks very much as if they're not one and the same, and very much like they're strangers

110 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

Granted. Minfilia is of the Source, so it doesn't prevent anything, but the entire point of Ryne's story arc is that she's her own person. Making her a shard of any major NPC kind of defeats that purpose imo haha

010 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

My own take on this is that she's probably not a Minfilia shard either. Minfilia is, until Shadowbringers, when Ryne becomes Ryne, not dead. Not alive either. But certainly not returned to the Aetherial Sea. Kind of similar to the Alexandrian souls in a sense.

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

Yeah that post really made me seem like I thought it's worse than it actually is. Have seen some really insistent people about it though. But yeah. It's not *that* big of a deal. Apologies if I seemed like a negative andy there

. Remembered Personification -------------------------------- . Shiva-Mitron "Now, let's fulfill our promise!" "I shall bring forth the strongest foes from this girl's memory!"

000 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

Turns out we already have an answer from the PLL itself haha "Ugh... A voice is ringing in my head... Eden... I can't control it!?" "Ah! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!" "At last, I've finally broken through the Oracle of Light's prison!"

100 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

In any case still. The dialogue pretty explicitly has Mitron talking about Ryne as if they're not the same.

100 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

The Wandering Minstrel may not be aware that they're not supposed to be able to do that. Though granted I also can't recall where it's stated that sundered Ascians aren't supposed to be able to do that either.

100 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

Good thing that's not what's happening. It's moreso just Ryne being possessed like her father was.

000 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

Nope. The dialogue strongly implies Ryne is just following family tradition (That is, being possessed by an Ascian)

100 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

The dialogue seems to imply that Ryne is simply following in her father's footsteps

110 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 01/11/2024

Really not looking forward to correcting people on Ryne being a Mitron shard for the next 2 months ngl based off trailer footage they don’t understand the context for

If only there was a word used in medieval times for these things… It’d be a shame if Apothecaries existed in medieval times after all.

040 0

Mia @bsky.seralyne.net · 28/10/2024

Did this guy unironically imply the お in お姫様 as something that… needed a complete mess-up of the English dialogue? If so I’d say he’s undeserving of N5 lmao
