Winter review – Richard Armitage’s new cop drama is as ferociously watchable as it is daft

Mrs Sayers is becoming slightly hard of hearing, or maybe (as she maintains) I just mumble. Often I say things during a conversation because it seems to be expected that I say something. Silence is not OK, even though I have nothing really to say. It's profoundly irritating to have to repeat […]

Secondly, and dare I say it more importantly, this is Edwards getting his feet under the table at RFU Towers. Fairly sure this is a signal he will be in the men's setup before too long. Another step towards getting the dream team of Farrell, Edwards and Sinfield in charge of #EnglandRugby

It's great news for the #RedRoses coaches. Hunter and Scarratt were GOATs as players but are still at the start of their coaching journey. They've learned heaps from Mitchell. To have Edwards on tap will be amazing. It opens up the possibility of Hunter taking the top job soon.

Houthi Advance Threatens Saudi Deterrence
The group’s advances on Yemen's western coast and a drone attack on the East-West Pipeline have put Saudi Arabia under pressure at both Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab. With Iran's reach curtailed elsewhere, Yemen has become one of Tehran's most consequential levers against Riyadh.

Due to travel disruption, I am on a different train to the one I booked. But get this: I'm on a virtually empty train that will still arrive when mine was supposed to. And my booked train (which I'm not on) is more than an hour late, so I'll get a full refund. Sometimes things work out.

Good morning
Unattributed two panel meme. The top panel is a closeup of a left hand holding a small white rectangular piece of paper, on which is written "I can't do it" across two lines with two words on each. In the style of an insipid pointless patronising motivational poster, there is a pair of scissors with the blades hovering above the apostrophe-t in "can't", as if about to cut that off and leave the message "I can do it" instead, in a ghastly banal power-of-positive-thinking way.
However in the second panel, we see that the scissors have in fact just cut out the little square of white below the word "can't", leaving the original message intact, just on a slightly more interestingly shaped piece of paper.
Big mood.
