On custom handles—it’s something brought up back in 2023 (this image is from then), but I didn’t have the tools to automate it. Recently @handles.net reached out offering to help the @bsky.art community with it, I’d just like to hear everyone’s thoughts before moving forward with anything.

When you’re in the feed there should be a pin icon in the top left corner

The art feeds are temporarily down, but while they are… Comment a photo of your current project—any medium, any stage. No cheating! Let’s turn this post into an art feed and show off some work 🎨

Hey all, we’ve been noticing that the language settings (on the official Bluesky app) has been very trigger happy with hiding posts, even hiding artist’s own posts from them. We suggest turning it off. It hasn’t affected our timelines other than showing all of the content populating feeds.

@bsky.art @bsky.art · 07/06/2023

The (official app’s) language settings has a really short trigger when it comes hiding posts (like an absurdly short trigger 😅). I’m assuming it hid this for you because “junicorn” isn’t an English word. If you turn off language moderation, all posts should show.

What are your thoughts on us trading custom (user) bsky.art handles for invite codes, example: “@artistname.u.bsky.art” If we did this, the codes would be used to invite more artists to #Bluesky.

@bsky.art @bsky.art · 04/06/2023

It made it in actually. I’m not sure why it isn’t showing up for you though. I know moderation/language settings have hidden posts from some people, maybe that’s causing it (would be odd tho, since it’s your own posts) Try opening those settings and see if you can see it.

The Art Feed - Update Image posts with the an “art” hashtag will now make it to the feed! This is for artist accounts we aren’t following yet or posts from non-artist account. (If we’re following you, all of your image posts already make it to the feed automatically)

He is so cute! 😍🥹 Can we give him some friends? If you artists know any, leave ‘em in the comments so they can hang! #art by @eskiworks.bsky.social

I was literally about to comment asking if they want to be the June banner 😆 …. Hey @amalasrosa.bsky.social 😁, would you want to be our banner next month? This one would be cool! It’ll be credited on about.bsky.art (we’re gonna keep a record of them there)

Hey, I've got some cool news... 🥳 @bsky.art now has its own custom feed/algo on the Bluesky network! It's populated by image posts from accounts followed by @bsky.art. We're trying to follow as many artists as possible, please tag us if we haven't yet 🙌 (more info in thread)...

I hope this doesn’t sound selfish, but this is a big reasons I’m glad I was able to pick up this domain. Outside this account, I do my own artwork. My DMs are full of art ‘promo’ accounts that just ask for money. Idk if I’d call @bsky.art a promo account, but whatever it is I want to do it right
