I know I'm probably late to the game but I just watched Thoughts & Prayers. Wow. How can any developed nation think this is an OK way to raise kids. It's like they are living in a war zone & people are just making money. And the teachers willing to blow away any old bystander that walks past 🤯

Some people apparently have too much time on their hands or not enough actual shit things going on in their real life that require attention

So over getting those (many) emails from companies saying woops... Our systems got hacked and your details shared so YOU should monitor for suspicious activity. How about you get better at securing your systems or delete my details after you have used them for the purpose for they were given to you

Wouldn't it be hilarious if this was deliberate. Farley ran as a trojan's horse to get into HOR & never intended to toe the ON line. Also shows how great ON candidate vetting is. They seem to be having similar issues with their new NSW ON leader getting chastised for speaking Japanese to a reporter

Their fear of "losing access" or having unbalanced "balance" rather than looking out the window to see if it's raining. I did wonder why my father was rabbiting on about child care worker quals, esp when his gdaughter is one, and then saw she was having a go at them as well so add them to the list.

It's a very strange approach. Her "policies" are anti workers, women, parents, immigrants, Australian born people with a 2nd language, trans people, first nations, health sys users. Add up all those people & the friends and families of those people it's a very small base left come voting time.

The "breaking news" that ON are outpolling other parties, fueling the Poorline for PM crap when most seats don't even have a ON candidate yet & some random cooker will show up 20 minutes before the next election and get into a fight outside a polling booth. I can't see it working in the metro seats

Screenshot of headlines talking about ON candidates background checking

BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 23/05/2026
I'm not underestimating that people will vote for them. They got 3% of the votes in Hughes for a candidate that didn't exist. I just don't think they will be able to find enough candidates that won't have problematic backgrounds to be able to emulate Farrer result across the country

BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 23/05/2026
No way are they winning 50+ seats. They have to find that many people to run who will pass the scrutiny of the media and the background checks. Everyone forgetting 2022 when she ran a candidate in every seat. The Hughes candidate has still not been found to this day🤣

Ternel concerned that the liberal party no longer reflects Menzies values and has lost direction and in the next breath thinks defecting to ON is an appropriate next step. These are not serious people 🤦

Won't do them much good....assets purchased after budget night remain under existing CGT rules until 1 July 2027, when the new inflation-based indexation and minimum 30% tax come into effect

BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 10/05/2026
All well and good for Albo to say that the Libs & NP made a mistake in legitimising ON. Labor didn't even bother running a candidate. They did that in the Cook by-election too. So disrespectful to the non-rusted on (to whichever of the parties take that seat for granted) voters in that electorate

Ashton Hurn saying they have done a great job and that there is still a future for liberals in SA ... Current seats 31 to 4😭😭😭😭 #auspol #savotes

This is hilarious ... Over on Sky news.. still talking about how successful PHON have been and lessons for Labor. Corey Bernardi talking about how proud they are about what they have achieved. Strongest voice in SA politics (no seats) 😂😂😂 #auspol #savotes

BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 26/02/2026
I don't think they are going to get enough seats to fork govt or even a credible opposition despite what the polls are saying
100
BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 26/02/2026
I think when it comes to putting a 1 against those candidates to actually represent them a majority would baulk on polling day... Even if they are answering a random poll now that they will vote ON because they hate Albo and the LNP are in shreds.

BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 26/02/2026
Everyone forgetting in 2022 they ran a candidate in every seat and won the grand sum of 0. Had strangest candidates running. We had a ghost candidate in Hughes. Not to say they won't be more strategic this time with Gina & the msm on board but I think Poorline for PM calls are a bit premature

Language matters. Ch9 just referred to CGT discount, as a tax break that home owners have been able to access for decades...Wrong...House owners maybe, investors def, but HOME owners are not subject to CGT. Subtle maybe but usual msm narrative to try and influence the debate on tax reform #auspol

How the fuck can we look in judgement on ice agents in USA when we have cops in NSW using citizens, peacefully protesting, as punching bags? I guess Minns will say "well at least we didn't shoot him" 😡🤬

I think this should always be the follow up question when they claim the govt havent done enough or are to blame..... What would they do? Because for sure they have no answer. They just tear down and divide.

Faaaark. 1. Show me one freestanding house in Sydney less than $1m and 2. Fuck right off and when you get there fuck off again. Imagine the sort of person that would spin what happened to talk about property prices. Unbelievable. Hope they take it down

Shows that moderate/small l liberalism in the coalition is absolutely dead. Just dog whistling to their base now. Who the hell is advising them and thought that this would be a good time to score points 😡😠
010
BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 15/12/2025
I cannot believe, but also not surprised, that the coalition decide to use a tragedy to try and score political points. This is NOT the time. It is a time to allow people to grieve, plan for how to stop these things going forward, and recognise the bravery we saw. Sussan is as abhorrent as Dutton

I was surprised, and disappointed, to read that travel to USA from Aus was up 8% yoy. Why would anyone want to travel to a country and consequently support a govt that treats people this way? Barbaric.

Minns has been a disappointment since elected. His stance on the right to protest, lack of response to problem gambling, whf crackdown on public servants. If I didn't know any better would assume its just another lnp got

It boggles my mind that the people of Kiama voted for him even after the libs stood him down. What in actual hell were they thinking.

BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 28/07/2025
I can't imagine how miserable someone's life is that they take such strident offence at a fairly simple practice of acknowledging the traditional owners of the land. This practice has little to no impact on you, but you are so offended by it you want to stop anyone being able to practice it.

100% - I get that musical tastes are subjective and that there will be differences for each generation in what they see as songs that in the words of triplej "define the sound of the nation and echo across generations" but leaving Sounds of Then off the list makes no sense.
100
BeeDee @bshark1.bsky.social · 17/07/2025
Thought that for a while. I think all but 1 of the songs I voted for this year were Australian artists. And while we are on Triple J what's with leaving one of the most Oz songs of all time off the list for the Australian Hottest 100. GANGgajang's Sounds of Then.

I wonder if Trump matters to the oligarchy at this point. Have they destroyed enough of the pillars of democracy that they no longer need Trump as the figurehead/puppet and don't care if MAGA turn away from him. MAGA would support the next guy as a hero that revealed Trump was part of the deep state

Why would any woman want to go into a club that so clearly believes they aren't worthy enough to belong, but will grudgingly invite them in to fix their cash flow problem. Sounds sooo tempting.... where do I find a man to invite me in /s 🤦‍♀️
