Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Mark, any truth to the lack of financial flexibility claim? Without any offensive upgrades present right now and Kralls overall comments about wanting/needing to upgrade, I was surprised to see that. $15MM for an outfielder like Robert feels like a no-brainer if acquirable. 040
Reposted by Bryce SpaldingMark Sheldon @msheldon.bsky.social · 11/12/2024According to a source, the Reds have shown interest in James McCann for their backup catcher opening. McCann spent the last two seasons with the Orioles. 2225
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Not so fun quote from GDub. Franchise is going to turn me into the joker 040
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Not sure what is more wild. Alex Cobb getting $15M or Frankie Montas getting 2/$34M. Pitching market is INSANE. 030
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 10/12/2024That article in general felt like a direct leak from the White Sox front office trying to get the Red Sox to budge. Don’t think the Mets or Yankees line up well prospect wise for Crochet (Neutral observing Reds fan) 010
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 10/12/2024The question is always “what is Lodolo timeline for spring training” 020
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 09/12/2024Still crazy to see the "Reds manager Terry Francona" 020
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Right the PO after 1 year is shocking. If he gets hurt, which he did the 2 years prior to this one, he’s absolutely locking those final 2 years in. Very interesting contract. 020
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 08/12/2024#Reds signed former #41 overall pick, Lenny Torres Jr. to a Minor League deal with an invite to MLB ST. Torres has battled injury but has a big arm and had a great year in AA pitching out of the bullpen. 51.2 IP 2.26 ERA - 3.46 FIP 18.7 K-BB% 080
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Yep I think it’s a given and a big reason Espinal was brought back. 110
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 07/12/2024I pretended to not be worried about his AAA “rehab” assignment when he was dreadful. I pretended to not be worried for a good portion of his major league plate appearances. He’s young, I get that part, but when can we expect a former top 25 prospect to be *not awful* at baseball again? 110
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Noelvi Marte is 7 for his last 47 with 12 K/3 BB in the Dominican Winter League. 250
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 06/12/2024I wonder what Tampa would need for Logan Driscoll? 294 PA in AAA .292/.367/.473 119 wRC+ 20.7 K% Did struggle in his brief cameo offensively, but underlying metrics point to some poor luck. Good defensive numbers (+2 CS above avg, +1 framing) in 15 MLB games. Could be a cheap backup C. #Reds 010

Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 03/12/2024I read an article the other day that mentioned him. I’m all the way in. 000
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 03/12/2024Yea I get people are hesitant due to the baserunning/defense portion of it, but like, if you can get someone who’d arguably be your best hitter, it’s a take. 020

Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 02/12/2024(This is a joke, it just feels we’ve been hearing about the “Martian” since COVID) 100
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 02/12/2024*The year is 2027, Jasson Dominguez is still the Yankees #1 prospect, and projects to be hitting 4th and playing CF in their 2030 lineup* 140
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 02/12/2024It’s been said… but I think this all plays a factor in the decision to trade for Singer (~22M over 2 years). Martinez is kinda wild for accepting the QO, too lol. He probably would’ve got 3/$55M 140
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 01/12/2024Yea he’ll need to develop a more consistent 3rd pitch to that a big step, which I think is in the cards for him. He’s probably like worst case a fine middle relief arm. I think his floor is there. Ceiling imo is like Sean Manaea, which is a weird comp, but he’s got that funkiness to him, too 010
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 01/12/2024He’s been posing quite a bit on his instagram working out and stuff, but I think Candy looks good. He’s probably the biggest x-factor for the offense. They need a bounce back, healthy year. I think he got too much flack for playing through a tough injury in 2024. #Reds 090
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 30/11/2024Love it. I’ll go: Adam Serwinowski starts getting t100 shouts due to a big year in Dayton. 110
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 27/11/2024… the #Reds have 2 left handed pitchers in their rotation…. And Kyle Boddy works in the Red Sox org now…. Hm. 120

Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Holy shit I didn’t realize he had a .380 OBP last year. Please, Nick Krall. 110
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Wonder if the Giants would be interested in Pagan? They’ve got a good pen, but he’s honestly a great fit out there and they aren’t scared of $8M 110

Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 26/11/2024That’s a tough one. Probably dependent on what your team looks like. McLain having SS eligibility is a big plus for me. Doyle might go 30/30 next year though. 110
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Friedl or go sign someone that can handle CF. 110
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Davis moved off SS in rookie ball, though. Elly was one of the best defensive SS in baseball at 22 years old, in the big leagues. Pretty drastically different scenarios 100
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 26/11/2024We’re at 4, 18 months, 3 months and we’re in the trenches too haha 140
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Probably more, tbh. It’s a real thing people think. 020
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 25/11/2024I’ve had legit 10 people in my mentions on the other site saying Arroyo will be the starting SS at some point this season 120
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 25/11/2024If I see another person tell me that Edwin Arroyo is going to “take” Elly De La Cruz spot at SS I’m gonna lose my mind. Respectfully to anyone who thinks that, of course. 470
Bryce Spalding @brycespalding.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Interesting. Feels like Napoli could step into a more prominent role down the line for the #Reds.. 240
