Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen were a favourite trilogy of mine growing up. I had no idea Tim Curry had narrated the Audiobooks, so now I am going to give them a ganders in honour of his memory. I imagine he's going to be immaculate.

Over the last 10 days I have listened to all 7 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl books. There is now a hole within me, I am hollow. My eyes see nothing but grey. Everything smells of beige. All food tastes of toast buttered on three sides. I want more. I need more. Hopefully book 8 is released soon.

BMV have already landed me a pretty big voice acting audition for a game and I'm excited just to audition for it. If I land any of the roles it'll be a pretty big deal, so send all your positives vibes my way please!

One of the annoying things about voice acting is you sometimes don't get to see the culmination of your work until sometimes a year or so later. I want to show off my work! 😭

I've been approved to join BigMouth Voices - a voice acting agency that provides voice talent across many industries, but notably in gaming. Grinding Gear Games (Path of Exile) is one of their clients. One step closer to completing one of my dreams!

Because I guess it requires repeating - we kiss robots here, but that does NOT include genAI and LLMs. They are not sentient, they are not real intelligence. They are built upon the stolen work of generations of passion and skill, and the exploitation of poor communities and the environment.

An illustration in pink and cool greys featuring Adra (they/them) kissing Criticality (he/him) on the 'cheek'.

I was compelled to redraw this. Happy New Year! Let us survive together.

A redraw of the quoted meme. Cheats, a bot with an orange helmet and a fluffy coat, holds his hand open toward the camera, palm upturned. Poorly done text overlays the image saying: let's survive 2026 together.

When you do voice acting, live in a terraced house and the lines require you to scream in agony. I can *FEEL* my neighbours staring at the wall in terror right now. #VoiceActing

The problem with baking 12 chocolate and peanut butter cookies is that there is only 12 of them and I am very capable of devouring them in one sitting, 30 minutes after baking them. *Siiiiiigh* looks like I'll just have to bake some more tomorrow then.

This substance is incredibly dangerous. It is so delicious that you will likely finish it in one sitting and wind up trying to fight oncoming traffic. Thankfully I am a man of some restraint and have been casually supping this ambrosia whilst enjoying Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson.

Happy Holidays from myself and @runehallow.bsky.social , and the Machine Sympathy cast ✨

A holiday illustration of Criticality (he/him) and Adra (they/them). They're both dressed up nicely in deep blues and white - Adra sits in his arm while he slides a gold bracelet with planets and stars onto their wrist. Graphic wintery ornaments themed as planets and glittering stars float around them.

I've spent my day enduring a hangover that felt like I'd been hit by a planet, but ended it with finally watching Wicked with a few friends. Musicals are very hit or miss with me but I enjoyed Wicked a lot more than I thought I would. Looking forward to seeing part 2.

I just finished Kaos and it is SACRILEDGE that it didn't get a second season! It's a phenomenal adaption of Greek mythology. I honestly believe it was Goldblum's best performance and Stannis Baratheon was fantastic too. All the cast was. I'm also a little bit in love with Riddy/Aurora Perrineau.

I will forever be perplexed by the existence of people that click on a YouTube video, go out of their way to *NOT* watch it, but leave a comment asking a question or make a statement about something that is literally answered/addressed in the video. It's so asinine.

000

BryanThePirate @bryanthepirate.drunkenstrategy.com · 27/11/2025

I especially enjoyed seeing Keanu in a less serious role. Have you watched The Studio (series)? It's written by and starring Seth Rogen - it's absolutely fantastic, hilarious and really well shot. Highly recommend if you need something fun to binge on!

Also got around to watching Sonic 2 and 3. Preferred 3 but definitely felt like they are aimed at a much younger audience. Very much a "family film" you take your kids to see.
