The last full moon rising over Lake Superior and under the Grand Marais lighthouse.

The full moon rises between the legs of a funky little lighthouse on Lake Superior. People are aimlessly walking around near the lighthouse, and the lighthouse's light is on. It's during the blue hour, so everything looks blue.

I was teaching a photo workshop last week and on the last night of the class, we got a touch of northern lights and meteors.

It was a stunning night for sunset at the Grand Marais lighthouse and the colors over the Sawtooth Mountains were amazing.

Northern lights in northern Minnesota.

The green glow of the Northern lights fills the sky and reflects below in a Lily pad covered Lake. The stars are reflecting perfectly in the lake. And the Lakeshore is surrounded by a Boreal forest. There's a floating bog on the right side of the photo with some trees at this very end. The overall color tone is green with some blues..

The Dutchman's breeches are blooming on Minnesota's north shore.

Last night, a Chinese rocket dumped its fuel of the central US. I was teaching a Milky Way photography class and was lucky to see it happen and get photos of it. This is one of the photos.
