Yep. I just hope this feeling lasts longer than two weeks. Hopefully this lasts for longer than a month.

Exactly. Ukraine needs to destroy every bot farm Russia has. As far as I’m aware, Ukrainian drones have destroyed three big bot farms, including the one in Yandex.

Congratulations to Ukraine for launching drone strikes on Russian data centers/bot farms! Those data centers are the source of many disinformation bots spewing lies across the internet every day. For every data center Ukraine destroys, there are fewer bots spreading discord and lies.

The committee chair called her one of the most courageous legal experts of our time, and I think that's right. So if you're wondering why the Epstein Administration is angry about this, ask yourself who benefits when war crimes go unpunished.

She got the news while at a conference in Nuremberg. Yes, that Nuremberg. She said she's dedicating the prize "to all of the survivors of international crimes." Not to herself, not to the courts. To the survivors.

Later she became the UN's top human rights official. The Nobel committee specifically credited her with making sure war crimes and genocide get prosecuted. That's the part that matters right now, honestly.

For anyone who doesn't know her: She’s a jurist from South Africa, was a defense lawyer for Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid activists. She was also the first woman of color on South Africa's Constitutional Court (South Africa’s supreme court).

Navi Pillay just won the Nobel Peace Prize. Her whole career has been about making sure war criminals actually get prosecuted. A few hours later, the orange ape posted that the committee "demeaned" the prize, and the White House slapped more sanctions on the ICC. Yeah, that tracks.

This is what I've been saying for weeks now! There should be drone strikes on every oil refinery (as Russia runs on oil), and data center (as the data centers are a source of their disinformation bots like their bot farms) and the diesel infrastructure, as well as seizing every shipment from Russia.

I completely agree. The orange ape is a Russian asset and a traitor to America, as is the entire MAGA cult.

ICE needs to be abolished. Every republican needs to be voted out for supporting these damn monsters, and every ICE agent needs to be slapped with life sentences for their crimes. There is no excuse.

ICE just shot at a father picking up his five year-old son from school. Luckily both of them are still alive, but both will have to live with the trauma of the attack for the rest of their lives. ICE is a domestic terrorist organization funded by taxpayer dollars.

Have a plan. Election Protection runs a free hotline, 866-OUR-VOTE, for intimidation or problems at the polls. Support the groups ready to go to court. And don't just win. Win too big to dispute.
041
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Don't assume the courts will save us. Litigation means delays and uncertainty, and no court outcome is guaranteed. The best defense is a margin too big to dispute plus officials who do their jobs. Vote, volunteer, and make a challenge pointless before it starts.

The legal theory behind many of those suits has also taken a hit. In Moore v. Harper (2023), the Court ruled 6-3 against the strongest version of the "independent state legislature" theory. Roberts wrote the opinion, joined by Trump appointees Barrett and Kavanaugh.

bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
What if the orange ape takes it to the Supreme Court? He's not on the 2026 ballot, so he'd have to show a legal injury just to get in the door. In Texas v. Pennsylvania (2020), the Court denied Texas's bid to invalidate four other states' results for lack of standing.

bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Every member of Congress swore an oath to the Constitution. Call your rep and both senators now and ask them to commit publicly to seating every certified winner. Support groups with lawyers on standby, and if it comes to it, show up peacefully.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
If it happens, go to court. Powell v. McCormack also allows suits against House officers who carry out an unlawful exclusion. Courts have been aggressive about forcing certification when there's no concrete evidence of fraud.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
The Senate is trickier. The chamber controls its own membership, so a majority of sitting senators could refuse to seat a key Democratic winner and keep control, at least temporarily. That makes every senator's public position matter.

One scenario: Speaker Johnson fires the clerk and installs a loyalist to produce a different roll. But the full House would have to confirm that new clerk, which takes extraordinary GOP party discipline. Every Republican would be on the record.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
If Republicans try to block new members on January 3, remember that the old House ceases to exist that day. The nonpartisan House clerk prepares the roll of members-elect from state certifications. Those certified results are the legal anchor.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
On January 3, the House can't just refuse to seat winners it dislikes. In Powell v. McCormack (1969), the Supreme Court held that the House can't exclude a duly elected member who meets the Constitution's qualifications.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
The president doesn't run elections. The Constitution gives states and Congress authority over election rules. Funding threats and federal intrusions into state systems invite lawsuits, and states can sue fast.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Paper trails beat rumors. Audits, ballot records, and bipartisan observers create evidence that fraud claims can't survive. Volunteer as a poll worker or observer, and ask your county how it audits.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Certification is a legal duty, not a vote of confidence. State officials or courts can compel officials who refuse, and some face civil or criminal consequences. In 2022, courts forced Otero County, NM (primary) and Cochise County, AZ (general) to certify.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
The good news is that this can be stopped, and it has been before. Courts rejected dozens of 2020 challenges, and election officials of both parties refused to bend. The system holds when people use it. Here's how 👇
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Even if none of it works, the damage is real: weeks of doubt, harassed election workers, and a "stolen election" story stockpiled for 2028. A landslide shrinks the number of places a challenge can stick.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Step four is January 3, when the new House organizes itself. Some experts predict Trump would demand Speaker Johnson fire the nonpartisan House clerk, who compiles the roll of members-elect, as a step toward refusing to seat Democratic winners.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Step three is federal muscle. Trump has threatened to withhold federal funds from states that don't follow his voting orders, and to incapacitate the bipartisan agency that administers elections.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Step two is pressure on blue states and big cities. Experts warn of efforts to stall certification of House races in Democratic-leaning areas, justified by the same unproven noncitizen-voting claims we've heard since 2020.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Step one is certification. Since 2020, more than 30 local officials in AZ, CO, GA, MI, NM, NC and PA have refused to certify results. It's a mandatory duty and courts can compel it, but every delay is time to spread doubt.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
When he was asked if he'd accept losing Congress, the orange ape said: "I will, if the elections are honest." He's also urged Republicans to take over elections. Conditional acceptance plus takeover talk is how this starts.
121
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
In a midterm, that looks like pressure on certifiers, challenges to close House races, and rhetoric that gets election workers harassed. Close races are where that works.
121
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
The orange ape isn't on the 2026 ballot, but the 2020 playbook is a template. It included dozens of failed lawsuits, pressure on state officials to overturn results, a call to "find" votes in Georgia, and January 6.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Congress is the check on executive power: subpoenas, oversight, the power of the purse. Whoever controls the House and Senate decides whether anyone is ever held accountable.
120
bryanguarderas.bsky.social @bryanguarderas.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Vote blue in November, and not by a little. A narrow win invites a challenge. A landslide makes one nearly impossible to sell. Margins are a defense of democracy.
