Did I stutter? “What truly defines us isn’t what we do in our darkest moments when options have run out, it’s how we choose to respond and grow from those moments.“ I have known Fenn for nearly half my life, I am intimately aware of the truth of what happened. Bark up somebody else’s tree.

You deserved better, too, Emery. None of us deserved to endure any of this. I’m so very glad that you got out and are walking a safer and brighter path now. ❤️

When Lynx Aspen visited my house in 2016, he touched me in my sleep without my consent, fully aware that I am an autistic CSA victim with PTSD. He claimed that this was completely incidental and he was also asleep when it happened, but considering the allegations I've heard since, I can't be sure.

I had to ask Lynx to move down to the basement apartment for the duration of his stay because I was too afraid to sleep in my own bed with him beside me. Lynx left and went home early, and proceeded to ice me out and lie to our mutual friends, claiming that I had been verbally abusive toward him.

I left the furry fandom for nearly 10 years after my experience with Lynx and only returned thanks to the support of @fenn.ink and @crayonrookie.bsky.social. When I got back in touch with Lynx last year, hoping he'd grown over the past decade, he immediately tried to isolate me from these people.

What a strange thing to post after being called out for touching people without their consent.

Wasn't ever planning to talk publicly about this, but I'm barely online these days so I just don't care anymore. After realizing some of what he's done to others, I'm tired of feeling like I'm protecting him by keeping quiet. Do with this what you will. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Fenn will always have a seat at my table. The door will always be left open and a light always on for them. What truly defines us isn’t what we do in our darkest moments when options have run out, it’s how we choose to respond and grow from those moments. I’m forever proud to call Fenn my friend.

It's a very long story that I really hope to type up in full some day! Three out of four not only survived but thrived and went on to live their own independent wild lives, but the fourth sadly developed neurological symptoms and was humanely euthanized.

Yes! Pets should have identification in case of emergency, not because you want a free pass to let them roam unsupervised.

This is true! Not all shelters, rescues or sanctuaries are reputable.

010

ⓘ This user is a coyote! 🐺 @brushwolf.gay · 23/01/2026

ABSOLUTELY. Outdoor cats are an invasive species.

010

ⓘ This user is a coyote! 🐺 @brushwolf.gay · 23/01/2026

I'm not opposed to all forms of private ownership, there are certainly a rare few people who own these animals responsibly - with proper diet, enrichment, and outdoor enclosures - but the vast majority do not.

Whether you are a rehabilitator or an exotic pet owner, any time you interact with wildlife, you are assuming a monumental responsibility, the reality of the situation is that you are potentially holding their lives in your hands.

ⓘ This user is a coyote! 🐺 @brushwolf.gay · 23/01/2026

Throughout the ~5 - 6 months those animals were a part of my life, I made the conscious choice not to post a single video clip publicly, specifically because I did not want to mislead people or promote unethical interactions with wildlife.

ⓘ This user is a coyote! 🐺 @brushwolf.gay · 23/01/2026

It was, by far, the most magical and fulfilling experience of my life... and also the most stressful and exhausting. Those animals were never pets, and they were not treated as such, but they were still physically, emotionally and financially taxing!

ⓘ This user is a coyote! 🐺 @brushwolf.gay · 23/01/2026

Back in 2020, I took on the responsibility of raising a litter of orphaned Red Foxes. I did not do this lightly, nor do I recommend it, but there were no licensed rehabilitators in my region at the time and, being that it was the peak of the pandemic, transportation off the island wasn't an option.

🎯 Most legitimate fur farm rescues are residing in sanctuaries, as very few licensed rescues are willing to adopt out captive bred wildlife to private owners (I only know of one or two). When a private owner says they "rescued" their animal from a fur farm, 9 times out of 10, they bought it.
