Paramount's marketing team had fumbled the ball HARD when it came to promoting and marketing, with that really bad first trailer most folks had watched essentially set the tone for all conversations for 'Transformers: ONE' going forward prior to it's release date. Shame, as I really wanted more. :(

Totally. As happy as I was that the film was becoming a success (after the good word of mouth had changed people's perception of the film), that initial good impression can make or break audience retention.

I can't wait, as I'm in the mood for a good horror-focused animated series. :3

Repostin' The Autumnal. Manifesting my seasonal mood.

A skeletal figure floats off the ground, wrapped in a cape made of autumn leaves. It wields a scythe adorned with a harvest of gourds.

Bringing an old DnD character out of retirement for quality reasons. #myart | #alison | #artyom | #dnd

A comic that starts with a DnD party breaking down the door of a villain. Said villain is a fishman dressed in a fancy attire. It’s a close up of him looking off to the sides at the party. Party includes shortstack dwarf mage, Alison; a drow-esque fighter named Artyom; and two more nebulous characters.

Panel one
Alison: “Your evil machinations here here, Chancellor Killgill! And for your wicked ways, it’s time to turn your birthdays —“

Panel two
Highlights Alison n artyom in battle poses
Alison: “—off!”

Panel three
Artyom looks confused.

Panel four
Artyom turns to Alison, lowering his sword/
Artyom: “what?”
Chancellor Killgill shouted off screen “Prepare to die, heroes!!”

I can see Sen chillin’ & relaxin’ in his living room while the song ‘Casanova 70’ is playing on a turntable. I do love the idea of Janet living in an high-rise apartment that is lifted from the late 80’s/ early 90’s, including the indoor pool with built-in lights for those evening swim sessions.

It's obviously not 1:1, but it is pretty rad that the visual development artists for this show must've had a ball to translate Giraud's design sensibilities for 'Seven Havens' art direction. I'm now reminded about an old anime OVA that emulated Moebius's work to a tee, so I might as well share.

In fairness, you sometimes have to roll with the results. Even if said results were not what you expected them to be. Or, in Dhalia’s case, “Not what I was expecting, but effective, nonetheless.”
