I don't know if it's a universal feature but when some body cams are turned on they have the previous 60 seconds buffered. If he and his fellow officers didn't turn on their body cams immediately after the shooting that could be interpreted as a consciousness of guilt.

If Trump pardons himself, the current supreme court would probably ignore the constitution and allow it (currently it's an unresolved constitutional issue). But Trump also needs to get a pardon from the TX governor. If his cult would push for that before election day, it would help DEM turnout.
