Lorne is a giant isopod
Herb is a vampire squid. Could’ve done a sea pig but I wanted an excuse to draw a vampire squid too
Dunk is a flapjack octopus
And big j is a whale shark!!

Bonus mantis shrimp in the bottom left for marina…

Subtober #8 Midnight. watercolour and ink. High angle, a shirtless Dunk on top bunk with one arm dangling to the bed below, and the other clutches a doll that resemble Lorne. Dunk's mouth is agape, presumably snoring loudly. Big J lies awake in the bunk below wearing buttoned up pyjamas. His eyes are tiny dots, open and weary, as if this has been happening for hours. Subtober #3! I’ve had the idea for a while now that these runes use a Base-8 system, and that extends into their time as well.

preparing the watercolour paper in the Floydest way possible

Four poorly cut watercolour papers stapled to an old board. The rusty stapler and general outdoor grime left smudges on the paper.

Next to the board are watercolour paints from Beam Paints, an indigenous handmade paint supplier. I haven't had a reason to use them but now I do!
