My favorite thing about encaustic panting? Everything. ❤️ The melting The mixing. The heat The torching. The smoothing. The roughing. The smell. The texture. The sheen. The grit. All of it. Feels good to fire up the griddle again. #encaustic #encausticpainting #capecodartist

A dangerous thought in the nail salon. Acrylic and oil, 2025. The latest in my blue crow series. Two women share a subversive idea: “What if we didn’t have to take care of anything or anyone?", capturing that dangerous, liberating fantasy that unites us all.

An array of force rusted fender washers. After rusting, some are embellished with a spritz of paint and then all are sealed with gloss Rustoleum to prevent further oxidation. They are destined to become parts of 3D grid pieces currently in progress, or jewelry. #artmetal #rust #patina

Play of the Day: Painting with forced rust runoff! I forced rusted some steel nails in a solution, then painted with the rusty liquid. It dries with a slight metallic sheen and is also nicely gritty. So many shades. #artmetal #rusticmetal #rust #painting #patina #steelart
