This was, and I’m not exaggerating, one of the best days of my life. My parents surprised me with Arthur Ashe stadium us open tickets for my bday and I cried when I got them lol. I got to see Madi and Federer win back to back and I was so happy that I cried again during their matches 🙃

I know this is silly but Madi was the first pro player I ever got to watch live, so I’ve always felt connected to her. It’s like she was the first pro who ever felt real to me. It was like she invited me into this world. To watch her get to this point is just… idk I’m an emotional wreck today

I get why they do on court interviews after matches but sometimes I’m like is this necessary. Almost every player (aside from maybe a handful) gets asked the same thing every time and pretty much answers the same way every time. More often than not there is little information coming from those
