TBF A few of the rapists did receive harsher sanctions, but nothing like what the New York state criminal law could/should have provided. NY's law on consent in a "voluntarily-intoxicated rape" is antiquated. Just like our Pussy Grabber-in-Chief not to be found liable for rape, but sexual assault.

She was, but like far too many women she treated aging as a disease to be "cured" rather than a natural process to be celebrated. Was she coerced into her decisions by the expectations of her socioeconomic class? Or by society's obsession with youthful beauty? Who knows? But it's sad nonetheless.

I've said it before, that I'm cautiously optimistic about how the midterms turn out for Texas and the rest of the country. But I'm cognizant of the fact that this data point is still from Tex-Ass, so I'm not holding my breath that the Blue Wave will result in a sea-change in our beloved country.

All of our companion animals have been from shelters or rescues, except one. A polydactyl kitten from a pet shop when the shop said she would not sell and be "removed" from inventory. Stumpy was a great companion but a rebellious risk taker that eventually became prey for a pack of coyotes.
