I had a goal this year of completing a themed thing for October to be produced as a small art book later on.

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

No one’s hired me this year to make Halloween merch and the one little Halloween commission ended with the dude burying it and unfollowing me I feel like it’s time I pack it up. It’s over.

I think I’m just done. Already failing inktober related shenanigans

I’m definitely there, I will break my back for people and then only hear from them if I’m having a time only if they want anything

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

It really enhances isolation, that’s for sure

010

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

There’s still remnants of it hanging over today but it should be all gone later today

010

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Yeah. I don’t really have people. Not in any traditional sense to reach out. It’s a series of acquainted people who only hit me up when they want something

000

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

That’s really damn good news. Hopefully proper pain management comes soon

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Folks always say “tell your people you love them” Hell I always tell people to do that. No one really reaches out to me. I need to just get offline. Nothing good is coming from being on right now

I miss doing the work I did in wrestling, although so peripheral it felt for a minute I had friends and peers. Almost like I mattered for a minute. I miss talking to workers and getting in their heads as I crafted merch and whatever they needed. I miss the collective and collaboration

I know I don’t talk about wrestling a lot here, or much at all for a while. It’s a bit of an open wound for me. Tonight though I learned of the passing of PAC, who just wrestled yesterday is gutting. Man was so talented. I’ve been a fan since NXT. Too young. Far too young.

I accidentally bought two copies of Super Mario Wonder off eBay. I was tired from not sleeping for two days and remembered I lost the cart, so I went on eBay to score one. I look today, I bought 2. So who wants one?

This nor’easter fucking sucks. We were doing ok for the most part, now the power is fluctuating. Round two of it is coming in a few hours

Seems I kicked the hornets nest on Twitter. I spoke up to some pro AI shit to refute their dumb shit. Every bot, sycophant, slop lover and some weirdo racist people descended upon me. I’m a gate keeper, my art sucks, I should off myself on repeat. At this point, keep your slop, choke on it

We certainly need more of them, we can’t do what we used to do anymore. We need a completely new deal

Problem is a good chunk of the Dems are in the pockets of the same corporations, to truly be rid of it we need to be vigilant in primary season to weed them out

Also had to consult someone on getting rid of fallen trees in my backyard. So I need to work out the financial for that, they quoted me a grand. So if you have any project you need an artist for, please hit me up.

I’m working on a commission that’s an old NES game box, which led me down a rabbit hole of the whole graphic design styles used by every company that ever published on the platform

Runs great on switch 2. Definitely recommend. With dark souls a lot of it is linear pathways which lead to a lot of banging your head on a wall until you figure it out, elden ring is like “oh hard brick wall,I’ll just go somewhere else for a bit and explore”

They do some trickery, like having a big boss in the starting area, but he’s avoidable. Like a beginner’s trap. They do it twice to be silly.

110

BrokenOptics -COMMS OPEN- @brokenoptics.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I do, it’s more open world and a bit more forgiving if you work out your character setup. Some bosses are still bastards but I think it’s the most solid one to get into.

That’s a damn shame, this place used to be good. What the hell happened? I used to have a lot of good interactions here, met cool people, then in recent months a lot of that misery from other places creeped in and a lot of those good people stopped posting entirely.

For those who might have forgotten, Dolly was always punk as fuck

"I made jokes about it, but it's the truth that I kind of patterned my look after the town tramp. I didn't know who she was, just this woman who was blonde and piled her hair up, wore high heels and tight skirts, and, boy, she was the prettiest thing I've ever seen. Mama used to say, 'Aw, she's just trash,' and I thought, That's what I want to be when I grow up. Trash."

This shit is why you can't separate continuing to financially support the Harry Potter IP (whether by buying the games, merch, watching the new TV show when its out) from the consequences of what JK Rowling does with that money She's become so stiflingly powerful that even private docs arent safe
