Two Dr Dannys (Dannies?) unite, as @linguisticdiscovery.com is hosting an exclusive sneak-peak from my book on this excellent platform – I highly recommend subscribing to the newsletter, which turns up in my inbox to offer a smorgasbord of linguistic content.

Four days now, and fourth in the alphabet is D. I took Chapter D as my chance to explore lower-case letters – why we even have the upper/lower-case split, and why equivalent letters can look a bit different with it. After all, a capital D and a d bulge out in opposite directions! geni.us/WhyQNeedsU

With pride, joy and a great deal of nerves, I'd like to reveal the cover for my book 'Why Q Needs U'!, published by @bonnierbooksuk.bsky.social! I love the cover, with the endorsement from its first reviewer, who also called it "a wonderful achievement" and "just couldn't recommend it more highly".
