They actually do pills and oral suspension now, on top of the shots! The shitty part is that no vet ER or office can keep it on hand for what I think are legal reasons. Essentially the FDA is letting compound pharmacies produce it when there’s a valid RX and looking the other way.

I’m so sorry to hear that 🖤 I didn’t know anything about FIP until our night at the emergency vet, but I’ve done a lot of research since. It’s wild that treatment was only legalized (barely) at the end of 2024. Meds are still difficult to source!

He luckily got sick after a treatment was finally made available in the US, but it’s costly. However, FIP is not a death sentence anymore! He’s responding well to his first weeks of treatment, and continues to improve. He turned jaundiced (looking like a damn Simpson) and that is now reversed.
