Appreciate the explanation! Is the struggle with local tv money tied to Bally Sports/Fan duel TV going bust? If the teams still tied into that contract are able to be free of it, is it reasonable to think the cap would bounce back? Or are the local tv-FanDuel TV issues unrelated?

100

James Plowright @britishbuzz.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Curious where you’re getting these projections from and how accurate and reliable you think they are? Are players contracts not tied to percentage of the cap, so they would lower their annual raises to compensate for the change? Genuinely curious in this!

- No evidence of deep range — prefers to dribble in for a more manageable look even if open from deep. - More fluid shooting off movement going to his left than right

010

James Plowright @britishbuzz.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

- Looked more comfortable as an off-dribble shooter when stepping into shots. - The majority of his bad misses came off the dribble - Shooting mechanics don't lend themselves to shot versatility off movement/dribble. Refinement needed. - Relocates well off dribble drives, finds open pockets

110

James Plowright @britishbuzz.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

- Appears more comfortable from the corners, concern about beyond the break NBA distance 3s. - Didn’t attempt an off-dribble 3 in first 5 games; hit first movement 3 after 17 games, but grew into it over the season.

100

James Plowright @britishbuzz.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

- Relies heavily on stationary catch-and-shoot — very limited shot versatility - Defenders consistently went under screens, dared him to shoot — rarely drew hard closeouts - Missed a wide-open game-winning OT 3 vs. St. John’s

100

James Plowright @britishbuzz.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

VJ Edgecombe's 3-Point Shooting I watched all 153 of VJ Edgecombe's three-point attempts, here’s a thread of what I found:🧵 - Nice high release, but slow to get it off — needs system-generated open looks to be effective. - Streaky shooter: started cold, got hot mid-season, then finished cold

Landry Fields could be a name to monitor as a potential addition to the Charlotte Hornets front office. He worked closely with Hornets assistant general manager Dotun Akinwale, and has ties to co-owner Rick Schnall from his time in Atlanta.
