Apologies for some wobbly signals this evening. Our communications provider is struggling with the 'providing' part. We've put in a Plan B. 🤞

☀️☀️☀️ it's feeling hot hot hot - if it gets too sweaty, our transmitters will turn themselves down a bit to cool down - so if your reception gets a bit hazy, that will be why ☀️☀️☀️

⚡⚡ a lightning strike has taken out our fibre connection. A backup connection should be up and running by 14:00 ⚡⚡

☀️☀️ apologies if you're in Keynsham, Kingswood and places in between - something has got ahead of the hot weather and is taking an unscheduled rest. We're onto it. ☀️☀️

If you're around Keynsham, Kingswood, Longwell, reception is currently bad. We're working on it but it might be Wednesday morning before it's back to normal. 🛜✖️

There's going to be the (hopefully) teeniest of breaks in our coverage of Knowle, Brislington and St. George whilst we give something a quick upgrade. 🌟🌟

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 14/01/2026

If you're out east - Keynsham, Hanham, Kingswood - our signal is struggling to get out of bed today. We're working on getting it going for the day. 🌞

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 28/12/2025

There's going to be a few breaks and glitches in the next 20 minutes or so as we just get today's shabbiness finally shaken off 🛁

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 28/12/2025

Our signal has been a bit post-Xmas wobbly today. We've given it a strong cup of black coffee and a shower and hopefully it'll be more stable from now on. ☕☕

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 01/11/2025

☔ It might be a bit rainy across Bristol today, but we've got new and improved coverage across Brislington, St Anne's and Crew's Hole.

🌇Little bit of a delay, due to the early darkness. We'll be back fully powered up tomorrow morning.

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 29/10/2025

🚨 Change Is Now 🚨 Reception in and around Knowle, Brislington and St. Anne's is changing in the next few days. Today it's bad, then it will be back even better by the end of tomorrow. So bear with us while we make those changes.

We'd like to thank Broadwalk in Knowle for hosting our transmitter for three years. As they prepare for redevelopment, we're off to a new home.

⚠️ Reception in and around Knowle, Knowle West, Hengrove and Bridlington is a bit wobbly this morning. Hoping to fix within the hour. ⚠️

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 20/08/2025

Update - most places should have a good signal now. Unfortunately, if you're on Airport Road between Wells Road and West Town Road, that's still in the dark. We'll fix that as soon as we can. 🔧🔧

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 20/08/2025

There's a bit of a lack of power at our transmitter that serves Knowle, Brislington, Hengrove and Hartcliffe, so reception will be a bit patchy. We're trying to get the wires wired back up right now. ⚡⚡

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 07/07/2025

Hello Kingswood, Hanham, Keynsham - we're doing some maintenance this morning so your signal will be a bit wobbly for a few hours. Steadying up again by lunchtime. 🍱

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 17/06/2025

Having a bit of late night signal weakness in the city centre this evening. Hopefully it'll be better after a good night's rest. 😴

011

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 13/05/2025

Sorry to Keynsham, Hanham and Kingswood - a planned electrical outage means we're off air for a bit. It seems the plan didn't involve letting us know first 🤦‍♂️

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 12/05/2025

A short rest and repair for our transmitter covering Hanham, Keynsham and Kingswood - we'll be right back... 🕕

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 09/05/2025

Reception around Keynsham / Hanham / Kingswood is glitching out at the moment. The wires are full of goo, and we're trying to get them cleaned out. 🧼

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 17/01/2025

If your reception is a bit disrupted today, then the weather is to blame. High pressure is holding back the radio waves, and will do for a few more days. ☁️☁️

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 05/12/2024

And we're hot to go again a few minutes early. 🔥🔥

000

Bristol Digital Radio CIC @bristoldigitalradio.org · 05/12/2024

Our central Bristol transmitter is currently not hot to go, so reception quality will be a bit degraded. Should be back again by 16:00. 👩‍🔧
