Going to be interesting starting from scratch... again, but going to start off strong with some of my best pieces to date!

An isometric scene depicting Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1 crossed with elements from Bridge Zone. Sonic is seen running through floating platforms, surprising Badniks as he goes.

An isometric scene depicting Aquatic Ruin from Sonic 2, Sonic and Tails are searching high and low in these partially submerged ruins, a Grounder Badnik can be seen pulling off a sick loop-de-loop, while another is scaring off some Pecky's.

An isometric scene depicting Carnival Night Zone from Sonic 3, this dastardly zone is the home to the "Barrel of Doom" which takes centre stage here, at least Tails and Knuckles seem to be having fun.

I've really been enjoying my time with the Meta Quest 3 so far. I was playing Demeo with @timbywolf.bsky.social and @0rogerg0.bsky.social earlier on for hours with hand tracking in AR mode and it was a blast!

On a much brighter note, I'm going to Scotiacon and Confuzzled in 2024, both in the main hotel for a change. Having something to look forward to will certainly help my mental state. Coupled with Animalz in December and regular furmeets in-between, living does seem acceptable right now...

A friend was offered £1700 for the same car at his address with under a year's driving experience. In Scotland it's under £1k with little no-claims. Still doesn't explain why an EV6 is half the price to insure here, even though it's a more expensive vehicle and more scarce.

Brins0 Blackheart @brins0.net · 07/10/2023

After some research, it seems that because I live in an active warzone (Openshaw, Manchester) my premiums are 4x that of other areas, even though my car is nearly impossible to steal without lifting it. Guess I'm looking to move up a hill away from civilization!

Brins0 Blackheart @brins0.net · 06/10/2023

Note that this is fully comp, with 15 years no claims, £1k voluntary excess, SDPC for 10k miles. The industry needs proper regulation and transparency, it's just black box numberwang right now!

Brins0 Blackheart @brins0.net · 06/10/2023

Just been looking at insurance renewal for my M3 AWD, and I think I'm going to have to consider a different car next year if trends continue. Scammers want over £2k minimum, 3k for Admiral. It was 1.4k this year. Only 1.5k for an EV6 top spec and that's a more expensive car! UK insurance is a joke!

Which is ultimately more destructive if you lick it from the top of a brush? One poisons you, the other blows you up!

I gave my GBA SP a bit of a face lift a couple of years ago too. So happy with how much better it feels with a fresh shell on it. Really under-rated console, even with today's technology.

Either black or super loud colours like electric green or neon orange

I'd love to see more electric green and florescent orange cars on the road tbh. I've been tempted to get some decals on mine to make it a little louder.

Last few days at work before my 3 month sabbatical leave. I hope I've made the right decision... So long as I can actually unwind, and not end up unraveling, I should be able to make the most of it. Definitely time to get a little fluffy companion though!

It's been 100 days today since I took ownership of my first #EV, and I've loved every second of it. Over 2500 miles already which is double what I'd normally do. Any excuse to go for a quick drive given it costs ~1.3p/mile in electricity. Can't wait till the noisy engines of the past are gone!
