gobsmacked.

"It is a rare thing to find a romance not based on power imbalance of one kind or another. What differs dramatically is whether authors acknowledge that imbalance, and how it’s treated..."

"...There is everything sexy about a boss desperately trying not to abuse his position or his employee, so that the progress of the relationship is driven by the less powerful partner. Some of my favorite reads involve these grossly unequal and often unethical relationships—because what we see is a powerful person voluntarily laying down their power, demonstrating real respect, accepting refusal, and understanding that their partner is truly equal to them, no matter what worldly status they have. That’s romance."

"Writers should not just ask themselves, “what is the conflict?” but also, “where is the power?” Because if we don’t examine our power relationships, we’ll probably find ourselves replicating existing unjust ones as though ‘that’s just how things are’."

Dion and Terence are disgustingly gazing into each other's eyes after Dion tried to ease Terence's concerns.

Before the coup in Twinside, Dion asks Terence for his honesty in his decision to rebel, giving him the freedom to yay or nay as he desires and respects that transparency from him. Dion says, "Tell me true. Do you believe what I am about to do is wrong?"

doodling 💃💃💃 #teredio

Terence, in the middle of folding a shirt and growing increasingly flushed says, "Stop distracting me," while Dion, obscured in the background behind Terence, tugs at the tunic across his chest and lifts the edges to reveal Terence's thighs. He needs to be swat like a fly.

who else could you possibly lose? #ffxvi

Kihel stands above Terence, arms around his shoulders. Quietly she says, "Did I take you away from him?"
Terence responds, "No, Kihel. I miss him terribly. I only see his fear now -- I feel it too." Terence has gone from losing Dion to the new fear of losing her.

A scrappy doodle of Terence lifting Kihel around the waist and planting a fake kiss on her head. Kihel is smiling largely.

if you can't come to the #forevermoreff16 event in June you can still send in letters to different characters or requests to "Cid" which will be printed and displayed on the hunt board/collected into an anthology! think of it like Valisthea PostSecrets, kupo! 📨

In 2023 I [insert remix sounds] certain prayers to make a #FFXVI Sanbreque/Gregorian booklet and diagrams to make a faux chaplet and rosary LOL now that I have some time, i'm considering tweaking the design to be *more* lore compliant thanks to Logos and maybe have like... 3 for sale at the event?

Wars of Storm and Ash. [ #FFXVI #FF16 ]

Digital illustration of Barnabas Tharmr, Dion Lesage, Sleipnir Harbard and Terence Bellamie as well as the eikons Odin and Bahamut from Final Fantasy XVI (16) in a poster-like composition. Terence and Sleipnir are locking weapons at the bottom, while Barnabas and Dion above them are preparing to do so. Bahamut and Odin are facing each other in the stormy sky in the background.
