I love these Remedy games, but what I really wanna be doing is shuffling through records in the midcentury modern backrooms offices, and Remedy’s like “Nahhh c’mon you wanna be out in the city slaughtering the faceless enemy hordes from the first game with a hammer!”

who could have possibly known getting rid of parking lots and building housing would be good for the city

It really hurts my head to think about all the time and energy that was spent making sure shit looked absolutely perfect for clients, who themselves were super nitpicky, and now they're like "ehh fuck it, print it, I'm not even gonna give it a passing glance"

I am SO curious what Steve Jobs (and the rest of SV) would be like rn if he hadn't died, doesn't seem impossible that "tragic young death from cancer" was the preferable outcome

it's so funny that one of things the german national team is blaming their bad world cup on is that they had such a great time in chicago it made their actual basecamp in winston-salem seem deadly boring and depressing in comparison www.bild.de/sport/fussba...

the dumb app idea I’ve had since the height of the pandemic is a door dash/grubhub clone that doesn’t actually charge you or deliver any food, you just get the dopamine hit from perusing and picking stuff out

We're going to face almost every other part of the economy buckling under the weight of losing vital components. It's approaching the point where people won't be able to buy cars and appliances because manufacturers siphoned all excess NAND flash and DRAM production to "AI" companies.
