I was just taking with a co-workers yesterday about You Can't Do That on Television.

100

Yeah, I talk with my coworkers about it. It's only a matter of time before we see actual AI designs. At the end of the day it's all autocad math and lines. Low level engineers are going to be replaced for mass production plan work.

Yeah I don't doubt it. I see those obvious slop fliers up and down main street now. I actually warned my coworkers yesterday about using ai slop in our own in a meeting. Told them I was morally against it and we shouldn't do it. It shows we don't care about our staff.

This is a million dollar company just being fucking lazy. Some professional person with a degree and a P.E. was like "Yep, good enough! Send it in! We are so good at our job!" Just gross.

241

I knew it was only a matter of time before I saw ai slop was in civil engineering. If you are going to cut corners here where else are you being cheap at? Building quality? Environmental protection? This isn't mimaw and pop+pop's family run restaurant trying to save a few dollars.

140

All the cars are melty and obviously faked of what a small car might look like, some with back windows replaced by very long roofs, cars "parked" in the grass, no car doors, stone features merged into wooden overhanging signs. Classic ai slop blurry font on the sign, no uniformity in the fence.

True Shape Coaching @trueshapecoaching.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Just came across my first engineer rendered ai slop image in a set of construction plans at work. This is gross. I really can't believe a professional engineer with a legally binding stamp would submit a render like this. It doesn't match their proposed parking lot at all.

This is one of my favorite videos that I will always watch every time I see it on my feed. "Why must you fail me so often?!"

You rock, also I have that same mug.

It really is telling how emotionally and mentally exhausting it is to be around family. On my own I sleep around 5.5-6hrs. I almost never sleep longer than that no matter what time I go to bed. When family is around I easily sleep 8hrs or more and go to bed much earlier than I normally do.

Getting that itch to travel, I just don't know where. My last trip was back in May.

That's something I started doing over the past few years. First with a Lego Christmas village and just this week I'm starting a Lego Halloween village.

On the bright side I've learned over the years that the secret to dealing with grief is that there's no secret to dealing with grief The only way out is through, and you may never be permanently out. But grief is there cause of the love that was there, and the love was always worth it

I think in truth it's like a pressure point thing. I can get you the brand she has tomorrow at work.

Brie Huff @briehuff.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I know it sounds hokey but a co-worker swears by wearing a certain kind of bracelets when she rides with us. I dunno if this is a placebo situation of if its the pressure on the wrists that form a distraction.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to check them out.

Brie Huff @briehuff.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Oh yeah, I left it alone for like a night because I'm in my 40's and need to go to bed and work, lol. I could have sworn these things were bigger, I guess in little kid hands the would have been. Plus it could really use a back light because wow is seeing these pixels hard with these older eyes!

Brie Huff @briehuff.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I never had a Tamagotchi as a kid. I remember when they came out but my parents felt they were more for girls. I did eventually get a Gigapet I got from a KFC promotion from a friend. So after playing Restory I decided to get my own. It has already "died".

A blue Tamagotchi device held in a hand.

Which means the axe category is a thing... They could just say axe. Also, that is a cool axe in the first image. Axes are just cool in general.

Yep that's definitely a saber if I have ever seen one.

Brie Huff @briehuff.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I've owned three Wranglers. Yep, Duck Duck Jeep is a thing among Jeep owners, especially Wranglers. You'll need to start keeping some to give out. I did it for years, it can be a fun little community activity.

Yeah, friends are pretty cool!

Brie Huff @briehuff.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I genuinely enjoy the Build Fighters series. It definitely scratches that middle space vibe of "what if we made our cool toys fight for reals." But then again I loved Angelic Layer back in the day... and it's basically the same thing.

Right, and a lot of the time that means needing to server transfer which costs money. I downloaded Extra chat a while back to join a padded cross dc chat group but then the group went dormant and no one uses it now.

Mine honestly is the little tamagotchi. It's so colorful and it makes me happy thinking it'll go to some little kid. It also makes me want to get one irl. Restory is a fun little game.

Would like to know too. Feeling kinda isolated any time I log on lately.

I mean, what else are they there for?

Brie Huff @briehuff.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Do you think it would be worth holding off on getting a Redwall box set until this one is released? I've never read the books but I think once I finish Wings of Fire this may be my next series since it's such a classic and highly spoken about.

Is this discount still going? I just placed an order and did not see anything applied.

It is what it is, I'm better for it and I hope you are too. I won't compromise who I am ever again even for the sake of a relationship.

Gosh, same! Ended in divorce back in 2019.
