Robert Jenrick says a non-violent heckler who had her hair pulled and was struck with a walking stick at the Reform conference (something the police are now looking into) "should get a life". #LBC #ProtectOurWomen #Reform @lbc.co.uk

Let's do a counter-factual: UK Media: "Why did Burnham ignore a plea from fire brigades stretched to breaking point to issue an emergency phone alert about the risk of wildfires? That's why the alert system was created." #LBC @lbc.co.uk #BBCNews

Will Hutton was wrong. Louise Casey did NOT say that 1 in 4 people are on disability benefits. It's actually around 10-11% of the population. Casey said that 1 in 4 people might qualify as disabled but that would be on the broadest definition of the term. #LBC @lbc.co.uk @matthew-wright.bsky.social

#LBC News described Wes Streeting as "openly gay". Do we really still need the word "openly" in the UK in 2026?! @lbc.co.uk

The pre-title sequence in #HeartstopperForever includes a glorious tracking shot as the boys run along a stone pier at dusk. I live for tracking shots. I was more excited by that than the hand-job at the end of it. Or, as actor Joe Locke called it, "a pier-job". #Heartstopper #Netflix

Like most others Matthew Wright says Burnham said he would end homelessness when he said rough sleeping. Different things. And who are these "may-errs" of whom Matt Frei speaks? "Mayor" is pronounced "mare". #LBC @lbc.co.uk

James O'Brien likes to claim he's more accurate than others but like most others he's confused rough sleeping with homelessness and then said the Privy Council is meeting in No 10 when it's the Cabinet meeting. Same idiot boasts of his Politics A Level. #LBC @lbc.co.uk

This will be my abiding image of Starmer. Trans rights are a niche issue for most people but it's emblematic of his duplicity. The UK has dropped from 1st to 22nd in Europe this year as a positive place for #LGBTQIA people, largely because of the demonisation of trans people. 🏳️‍🌈

What? Matthew Wright says few women worked before Thatcher. My mother, born in 1916, worked her entire life and every office I worked in was full of women. #LBC @lbc.co.uk

Nit-picking review of #HeartstopperForever in the Guardian which refers to "the writers". There's only ever been one writer of Heartstopper and that's Alice Oseman. Snide comments are one thing but ignorance like that is unforgivable.

On Friday the #Heartstopper movie launches on Netflix, the finale of the 'world-conquering cultural juggernaut' (Guardian) that is Alice Oseman's epic masterpiece. Some cried at every TV episode so be prepared. Whether I did so is between me and my tear ducts. 😭🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

James O'Brien back on air today with his all too familiar repertoire of unpleasant scatological analogies. His producer should remind him he's no longer a little boy in the dorm at Ampleforth before he starts farting into the microphone. #LBC @lbc.co.uk

Why is Ali Miraj pronouncing the name Tuchel incorrectly? I think Wayne Rooney does the same. Don't they notice the way other people say it which (I've checked) is the correct German pronunciation with a hard C sound? #LBC @lbc.co.uk

Just for fun I asked AI if James O'Brien's frequent boast of being the most successful speech radio show in the history of commercial radio was true. AI said "No" and added: "the "most successful in history" claim is promotional/self-referential rather than conclusively proven". #LBC @lbc.co.uk

People calling #LBC to call for restrictions on marches and demonstrations in London would love living in a country like Russia. They also have no awareness of how hard-won the right to protest was in this country and how seriously it is now under threat. @lbc.co.uk
