Ovivorous critters, supposedly the oomph eats eggs so freely during the nesting season that sizable bounties are placed upon them. Despite the number on their heads, oomphs were apparently quite clever, and were not easy to actually find and capture.
[Top Section] Oomph; Region: North America

[Middle Section] A greenish creature that seems primarily lizard-like with some minor toad-like traits such as its legs. Yellowish spines protrude along its back all the way down to the tip of its tail. Yellow-tan spots can be found across its body, tail, and parts of its legs. Accompanied by descriptive text.

An animal described in the Yarns of the Big Woods, the oomph is a creature said to look to be somewhere between a lizard and a toad at around the size of a dog.

A fiend infamous for feasting on eggs during nesting season. The oomph will prowl about for bird nests to glut on the freshly laid eggs.

The oomph is named for the noise it makes whenever it finds a nest, a cry that comes out from deep in its throat. "Oomph".

While an entry for the mountain-dwelling orchi overall proper may yet be sometime in the future, today the more light-hearted Orco Burlevole stands distinct among the orchi of Lessinia.
[Top Section] Orco Burlevole; Region: Lessinia, Verona, Italy

[Middle Section] A tall humanoid with bristly hair covering his head and body, fangs, and donkey hooves. He is dressed in a brown fur tunic. Accompanied by descriptive text.

A specific orco, a race of tall, strong, and magical beings of Tyrolean folklore and tales.

Like all orchi, Orco Burlevole's body is covered in coarse black fur and has hooves like a mule's.

Unlike the typical orchi, however, he is a harmless trickster who only seeks to have a laugh with practical jokes and scares.

He can shapeshift, and may display various abilities that aid in his hijinks.

There was a time where it was believed that every creature of the land had a counterpart in the sea. The sea-frog, of course, being the ocean's frog, an animal that catches small fish with a lure in the form of a pair of horns.
[Top Section] Sea-frog; Alternate Names: Rana maris, Piscatrix; Region: Medieval European legend

[Middle Section] A brownish frog with a yellow underbelly. Protruding below each eye is a long pale horn. Accompanied by descriptive text.

The frog of the sea, a small predator frog that dwells in muddy regions.

Digs around the mud, scattering it about as it gets into it and somewhat obscuring the water as well.

Sticks the horns under its eyes out from the mud, utilizing them as a lure for small fish.

Of course, when the prey has swum curiously, or perhaps hungrily, up to the sea-frog it will spring its ambush.

An apparently malicious group of alien visitors, the Garson Invaders had six limbs and a face that was described as a mixture of colours that La Sarza had never seen before. For a lack of further description the colours used for this illustration's face aren't impossibly mixed, a true shame.
[Top Section] Garson Invader; Region: Garson, Ontario, Canada

[Middle Section] A large dark blue-green creature loosely resembling a long arthropod. The creature has six limbs tipped with crab-like claws and a pair of antennae. Its face is a mix of colours with a large, singular yellow eye staring down. It appears to be glowing. Accompanied by descriptive text.

In 1954, three 13 ft (3.96 m) tall creatures exited a spherical ship, approaching the miner Ennio La Sarza.

Stopped La Sarza from fleeing with a "psychic blow".

Like many other African cryptids, the mbielu-mbielu-mbielu is a target of young Earth creationists in attempts to find dinosaurs and other ancient reptiles that have long been extinct. In that regard, despite its back planks being all that's known, the creature is often depicted as a stegosaurid.
[Top Section] Mbielu-mbielu-mbielu; Region: Likouala-aux-Herbes, Republic of Congo

[Middle Section] A large quadruped with a somewhat bulky body. It is somewhat scaly and has thick legs with webbed toes. Its head is small, its tail long and thin, and jutting from its algae-covered back are rows of planks of irregularly alternating lengths. Accompanied by descriptive text.

Another fishy worker from Washington's Puget Sound. When an undersea cable had a break, this critter was apparently sent along it to find the location of the issue, then set itself up as a stopgap until the more permanent fix could be applied.
[Top Section] Cable Trouble-Hunting Eel; Region: Puget Sound, Washington, U.S.A.

[Middle Section] A long eel-like fish with a pale violet underbelly, dark purple fins, and a pair of tendrils that terminate in electric yellow tips protruding from atop its head. Accompanied by descriptive text.

An eel described in the April 14th, 1913 edition of the Seattle Star, part of a series of other such strange fish.

Supposedly was a close-kept secret among those businesses connected to undersea cables.

Seemingly deployed to find breaks along such underwater cables, use their tendrils to temporarily reconnect the flow, and then wait until someone arrives to permanently fix the cable.

Have a pair of tendrils and, like the electric eel, a powerhouse of a body that produces and channels electricity.

One such eel was credited with aiding the repair of a break of the Alaskan system cable between Seattle and Sitka in 1913.

Kilmoulis are frequently considered ugly, but benign and hard-working. There seems to be some sort of love divination ritual that can be done on Halloween involving a ball of thread, a pot, and a kilmoulis. The end result being the kilmoulis revealing the name of one's future spouse.
[Top Section] Kilmoulis; Region: Anglo-Scottish Border

[Middle Section] A small humanoid resembling an old man with a large nose and no mouth. Accompanied by descriptive text.

A type of brownie that live in a mill's killogie, said to haunt mills of the Anglo-Scottish border.

Their most distinctive features are their lack of mouth and their large nose with notably large nostrils.

Swine meat is a favourite meal for them, and like all food they consume it must be shoved up their gaping nostrils.

Staunch workers when well respected and fed, however they aren't strangers to pulling lighthearted pranks and mischief regardless.

Pay keen attention to the mill and its miller, and will cry out with great sorrow when disaster approaches either.

Would only leave the mill for two jobs: thrashing corn when no workers were available, and riding to town to get the midwife, though the horse will be handled quite roughly.

[Top Section] Paciencia Abductor; Alternate Names: La Rubia Abductor, Paciencia Monoped; Region: Paciencia, Brazil

[Middle Section] The being has a wide, scaly torso with two long appendages where a human would have arms. Its head is like a vertically-turned football with an antenna at the top, at the center is a slim strip of blue mirrors/glass, one panel darker than the other. Around its "waist" is a belt with syringe-shaped tools. Its torso appears to rest on leg that the original abductee described as similar to a stool one might find on a ship. Accompanied by descriptive text.

A group of aliens that reportedly abducted bus driver, Antonio La Rubia after investigating what seemed to be a large hat-shaped ship in a field in the early morning.

When La Rubia attempted to question them, his shout knocked them over.

The abduction apparently consisted of a standard physical exam, followed by something akin to a slideshow of images before being returned outside the ship.

A beast that descends from above. Mysterious gate guardians, as long as one has no wicked intentions or an air of thoughtless recklessness, encountering one should not be a worry.

A strange sighting, apparently according to some potentially connected to a "floating fire" that fell near the field from the sky the night before.
[Top Section] Ghostly Scarecrow; Region: Huay Nam Rak, Chaing Rai, Thailand

[Middle Section] A yellow humanoid, its head is somewhat large, with a similarly large pair of ears, a small mouth, and red eyes. Its body is armless, however its legs are thin and taper into pointed feet. Accompanied by descriptive text.

A strange yellow humanoid spotted above a field of rice in a small farming village on August 31st, 2005.

Originally thought to be a scarecrow, but after a closer look was believed to be a living thing instead.

Described as floating above the field, some believing it moved machine-like, others said more ghostly in nature.

Would eventually leave, rising up into the sky until disappearing in a ball of light.

Someone from a nearby village claimed it may have been a helium-filled doll he had been using as a scarecrow after finding, but had lost in a storm in late August before this sighting. Witnesses seem to dismiss this claim due to the described balloon not matching the creature's features.

An apparently enamouring woman-faced wolf. One of a handful of supernatural sightings to have popped up in Mobile, Alabama's history.
[Top Section] Mobile Wolf Woman; Region: Mobile, Alabama, U.S.A.

[Middle Section] A grey-furred wolf, its head is that of a woman's, albeit still covered in fur and with a head of long, brown hair. Accompanied by descriptive text.

It was a strange sighting, having a wolf's body, but a woman's head. She was described as fairly hairy, but also surprisingly beautiful.

Often theorized to have been the result of some April Fools' Day tomfoolery such as a loose dog fitted with a wig, or a dog with particularly long head hair.

There were around 50 call-in reports of sightings of the wolf woman to the local paper, the Mobile Press, all starting on April 1st, 1971.

Notably far less popular than her parent urban legend, mimikajiri onna is a nonetheless vengeful being attempting to take out her frustrations on those who did not meet the same fate as herself. As an aside, of course, in reality the optic nerve is not within the ear.
[Top Section] Mimikajiri onna; Region: Japan

[Middle Section] A young woman with blood around her mouth and long brown hair. Her eyes are covered in darkness. She wears a brown sweater vest with a light blue shirt underneath, a dark blue skirt that goes down to just above her ankles, and grey sneakers. Accompanied by descriptive text.

An urban legend born from another urban legend, specifically she is a victim of the urban legend of the White String.

Before becoming a resentful yokai, she was a young woman named Kaoru.

The White String refers to a story where after piercing her own ears, a young woman found a white string sticking out from the piercing. She pulls at it, but then her vision goes completely black after accidentally breaking it, leaving her blinded. The urban legend says the string was the optic nerve.

Mimikajiri onna appears behind her victim asking if their ears are pierced, seeking those who pierced their ears but did not become like her. If they say yes she bites at their ear and consumes it.
