Truth be told, it's probably not actually ONE thing. And frankly, as long as it's not the G1/MW toy ran through an genAI uncanny valley I don't really mind it being a little bit of a divergence from the original.

Things that have popped in my head but not quite it: G1 Skyquake/Scrash G1 Clench Hellbat BW Rampage BW Depth Charge, who had a toy made from 2010 Terradive (who got a recolor as MW Starsceram) Bee Movie Blitzwing/Thrust The Fallout 1 boxart !? This is going to keep me up tonight...

Even worse when people *purposely* don't call it by its name. I have some sympathy for people who don't want to be harassed by people who hate-search for terms, but I swear some people are intentionally trying to bypass others' filters. You WILL see my Take.

I keep looking at MW Starscream's head and being reminded of something other than the original toy. Is it pulling from some random art of Skyquake? Scrash? It just really reminds me of something *specific* and not just "MW Starsceam, but 20% different" but I cannot place it.

Whether it’s brown or blue, it’s still funny that there’s no version of *Onyx* Prime that’s distinctly black in color. Implied or interpretable as black? Sure. But not unabashedly black.

Blue Onyx is alright, but I would have loved if it was the darker deco of the comics. (Putting aside the whole blue-is-black comics thing)

I’d take a Gundam base even if I never got to visit just to see if it’d make P-Bandai stuff easier to get domestically.

Can we stake a claim on "fanboys of vehicles" as an affectionate chuckle-worthy bit of fluff? Can we put it on the same shelf as "For the First Time Ever Optimus Prime will fly"? We're in need of a light-hearted win in this fandom.

The thing about the Sonic Discord is that you don’t need to get all “lol sonic fans weird” about it. It’s such a high profile property that non-fan bad actors *alone* make it something that must be done carefully.

This is such a conflicting thing to put into the ranking. The distinction DOES matter, but it still feels wrong to put them against each other.
