Wasn’t too impressed with the results after a single coat of flat aluminum so I reapplied chipping fluid and went back over it with a coat of Tamiya “Royal Grey”. Much better IMO. (Left image is aluminum only and right is aluminum + grey) #histscalemodels #scalemodels

This was always going to end in pure chaos. I generally support 8-plex + densification but have always believed the shotgun approach was unnecessarily disruptive, and does not lead to good city building. If it was targeted to specific areas I believe we wouldn’t be in this pickle. #yegcc

I suppose this means we go back to a DC type process for infill. Might be ok as it will push 8-plexes to in demand and tolerant locations. Which has always been my only concern. It was never targeted and sold the myth that every single 8-plex would make every single area the next happening place.

Trying something. Pigments dusted on a wash coat of Matte Medium. Pre painted with a custom rusty mix of Tamiya lacquer paints. Next up is chipping fluid, top coat of flat aluminum and then off to the power washer. #histscalemodels #scalemodels #buildthestash

Yesterday I made a BBQ sauce of homemade apple cider and Dr Pepper. A nice compliment to 4 hr pulled pork and home made slaw, with almost every ingredient from the garden. Now the hock and leftovers have become red beans and rice. I am a true southern gentleman. 🌱
