My older siblings who are millennials got things like youth clubs after school at a building a 2 min walk from my house, it was stocked with games consoles, beanbags, drinks and snacks, run by a couple of youth workers. It was for kids age 11+. By the time I was old enough for it, it was gone 😞

The first time I got Covid it made ALL symptoms of my chronic illness worse, and also made a ton of my cognitive skills actively regress. Like creative skills I was actually using for my art degree, and skills with basic household tasks. My ability to make decisions also tanked

Like unexplained weight gain, weird thyroid blood test results (but not weird enough to be investigated 🙃) unexplained dental issues, sinus problems, worsening PMDD and asthma, my hair and nails are now VERY brittle, and for a year I was getting a new illness/infection every single month!

Which was in 2023 because that was the year I was suddenly kicked out of the group who receive free NHS Covid boosters, and I couldn’t afford one that year. I then ended up with a Covid infection that lasted *6 fucking weeks*, and since then have had Weird Health Issues

I also want to add a personal anecdote! I’m almost certain that the reason I have long covid is because I got got Covid before I could get a vaccine, and I think the only reason I haven’t sustained like… permanent is damage to my organs etc is because since then I’ve only missed one booster
