Forever, there's been this weird idea that if the GOP can build a coalition that includes the racists and minorities, they will really be tough to beat. And, I guess! But shockingly, that coalition can't hold

"Senate Republicans' Super PAC is pausing spending in North Carolina and launching in Kansas" is not a fact the GOP ever thought it would have to grapple with

Third Way sucks, but if even they feel the need to stake out a reform position on the Supreme Court means John Roberts is gonna have a rocky next few years

Haha, ya think? When I worked in gov't, I saw how much of the bureaucratic rules are actually in place to protect people. Something like DOGE, with a toxic combination of disrespect for the rules and outright malice, has about a 100% chance of doing the wrong thing

The last year or so has been a "am I taking crazy pills?" experience for me. The business model of the big AI companies is SO OBVIOUSLY fundamentally flawed. Investors and debt providers treat them as software companies, but their cost curves are those of hardware companies. It's so clear!!

This is obviously illegal, but putting Trump out on the airwaves will probably lead to more Democrats getting elected so maybe it is a public service?

This is the best possible representation of the current state of the Trump Adminnistration. Lashing out from weakness, which just makes him weaker. It's a low energy doom loop

The mega corporations that own media have too many interests to prioritize the business of their news properties. It's not ideological all the time - sometimes it is! - but a rightward lean can cost them money on the media property but make them far more money elsewhere

If you don't understand that this is fundamentally a revolutionary moment, tailoring your rhetoric to peel off a few undecideds makes sense. But this moment demands so much more than that, we need a new governing ideology. If Dems find that, they'll win elections for decades, not just the next two.

It's worse than if they had done nothing. The legal case against Trump immunity is that he as President is making a deal with himself. The Roberts Court will 100% treat Blanche confirmation as de facto Congressional approval for the deal because of what Cornyn and Tillis did

This is a revolutionary moment. People are unsure about what to do from an ideology/policy perspective because it's genuinely confusing and difficult. But people who don't realize that this is a revolutionary moment (people who signal caution rather than boldness) are clearly fundamentally wrong
