My 2 cents: It’s a pretty clean fretless. Active pickups, compression with fast attack and slow release, and either amped in a room that has a little room resonance or they put a touch of reverb on it. The “feel” is just because the guy is a fucking boss!

I’m not defending YOUR definition of psychology, certainly. Mysticism and spirituality are about inner psychological change, not external physical change. The world is rife with psychological disfunction in the scientific age. Tech has made killing each other easier, though.

Rituals are designed to put a person into a psychological state which makes available to them the ability to change their own psychologies. Of course, there is a lot of woo out there too. Some need to believe woo to get to the necessary states—like a pre-req in some cases. No other way to do it yet

I understand what you mean but as far as I understand the effects of mysticism are almost exclusively psychological, which is exactly what adherents are looking for, changes in their psychology. Physical science cannot observe these because they aren’t physical. Or… not yet.

In the same way some people who believe in mysticism (in as far as it produces the desired results) are practicing an as yet unknown science. Maybe it will someday be known, but to exclude it because we don’t yet understand the science seems pointless.

It is faith, and at one time we had faith that the earth was the center of the universe. Modern physics may be learning that it needs a complete paradigm shift akin to that. I guess you could call that “built on”, but… that would just be semantics.
