One potentially interesting observation is that 60% of my wishlists came in the first 2 weeks, and the remaining 40% have trickled in over the subsequent 12 months. Sometimes spikes come from a social media post getting shared, other times they appear to be residual “More Like This” clicks from people trying similar games during a big sale or next fest.

I have been wondering if “wishlists are important for the algorithm” broke gamedev containment into a more public gaming consciousness this year and so one toxic thought that gnaws away at me is that if I had launched the page this year I may be sitting at a larger number already. Isn't this fun? Aren't we having fun.

I also wonder if more public consumption of the algorithm mechanics will ultimately result in the wall heightening against the ladder. I wonder if any of these metrics means anything. I wonder what steam will look like by the time the game is done.
