Vibe coding is a huge productivity boost, but it isn't going to replace devs. It is however going to raise the bar for devs. AI is too confident in itself, and that confidence can mask the poor or insecure code to the untrained dev or muggle trying to build stuff.

You can never go wrong learning fundamentals. There are plenty of tools and frameworks (and now AI) to help developers build with ease, but knowing how things work under the hood helps you be more efficient with debugging and decision making.
