#soloseptember Bruno is to perform at the park in Stoleby. He's staying in a private area for guests with a Japanese vibe. Drawing a scene like this is like slowly taking in the local; rolling on exploration tables to add details to add for the PC to interact with. #sketchbooksolorpg #solotale26

Bruno Jet is going to perform at the theme park, so he and his sidekick get to stay in this vip area. It has a Japanese feel to it with suites for guests. A stair leads up the first level with rocks and pond and a small waterfall. The next level is two suites on either side under a tree; dice rolls added a guard at one and a women chilling on the other. The next level is where the PC will stand and then a building up too for someone important.

6 elements were labeled and for each I rolled on the exploration tables. A npc based on a story thread gives us a doctor by the pond, a guard at one suite and a older women watching us at the other. The door into the park is blocking our way.

Drawing takes time, but having a world appear and start to have elements to explore is so much fun.

When COVID struck the Cartoon Art Museum moved their Sketch-A-Thon fundraiser that happens at SDCC, on-line. Since I don't go to comic-con anymore I can still do some drawings for a non-profit that is the reason I started teaching. This year I drew Plastic Man, Snake-Eyes and Pluto pup.

While cleaning up I found these two convention sketches from Wondercon: John Romita Spiderman 2002 (Oakland) and Jill Thompson's Orson the tween vampire (from Scary Godmother) 2003 (San Francisco). They were bagged and boarded, but now they are in my portfolio of originals.

Two 8.5 x 11 convention sketches from Wondercon 2002 and 2003. The John Romita Spiderman face is from when the convention was still in Oakland CA and the Jill Thompson sketch of Orson a pre-teen vampire from Scary Godmother was in 2003 when the convention moved to San Francisco.

In 2002 I was helping at the Cartoon Art Museum booth and met Romita through that.

I like to draw so using a larger format Fabriano has been working well. I used smaller sketchbooks (4 of them) before I figured it would be better to have a larger size so less individual books. The paper is a bit see through, but not bad.

I finally finished my solo campaign and drew an final drawing featuring at least 15 characters. Started the game in May 2024, played off and on and learned a lot about how I like to play. 219 hours - 101 sessions - 62+ characters - 309 pages #supercity24 #sketchbooksolorpg #solorpg #ttrpg 1/2

In front in J-Box K a.k.a Kurt Mc Ivy a magic born (i.e. magic construct) a superhero in the small northern california town of Heathburg. The game ends with an event, the wedding of his parents Helen and chris and attended by family and friends.
His mother Helen plays a guitar with her husband as they sing a favorite son.

The game spans 4.5 sketchbooks and so I had to go back and find drawings of different characters, which took time, but was fun.
