Nice to see some hankie as well as stick dancing - with the rapper sword dancers acknowledging the applause!

During Haymarket Rapper's ninth year, 2022, there were no trips away and no dancing due to COVID - instead we had regular Zoom chats about old times and started planning - but a weekend to Leicester didn't take place. #HaymarketRapper #RapperSwordDancing #rappersworddance youtu.be/MQ66le8v38k

During Haymarket Rapper's eighth year, 2021, there were no trips away and no dancing due to COVID - instead we had regular Zoom chats. Do you remember Zoom chats? Did you have plans on ways of getting everyone engaged? #HaymarketRapper #RapperSwordDancing #RapperSwordDance youtu.be/9PDiiFA4ogg

Anyone suggest a good prompt to create a more realist image of 5 rapper sword dancers with a Tommy in a black suit and wearing a black top hat?! (Hmm, maybe on 1 April a rapper side should dance wearing this kit and announce "The first AI-generated rapper sword dance"?!)

After a minimalist launch (5 dancers, 1 musician) in 2014 by 2015 Haymarket Rapper numbers had grown and we had 3 trips in the year: Derby, York & Bristol Can we summarise 3 trips & 37 dances in a minute? We gave it a go: 59 seconds #HaymarketRapper #RapperSwordDance youtu.be/Ttu7bqeHt4E?...

Haymarket Rapper made their debut in 2014 and celebrated 10 years during 2024 - although we started dancing in the 1970s and 80s. We've made a series of short videos for each year of dancing (or Zoom chats during COVID!) Here's how we started. #HaymarketRapper #RapperSwordDance youtu.be/eqOBog4U2Sg

Bluesky Roast summarises one's use of service. For me: Morris Dancing: Brian’s poses the question of how best to entice new members—spoiler alert, it’s all about the videos! Outreach Strategies: He plays the part of the digital Morris dance ambassador, urging others to leap onto the platform!

What's the best way to encourage people to join a Morris side? Post a short video of your side dancing - which also had details of how to find Morris sides across the country. Great stuff #WildMoonMorris!

How the early adopters in the morris community are using Bluesky (and how we can discuss emerging best practices). Comments welcome

Recently Haymarket Rapper celebrated its 10th anniversary. We thought we'd make a documentary featuring clips showing 10 years of #rappersworddancing - but we had a technical glitch and the tape got chewed up. #HaymarketRapper #RapperSwordDance

Added some hashtags to my profile. Hmm, wonder if dance sides would benefit from adding their side's hashtag, hashtag for their dance style and hashtag for the Morris organisation they belong to. #RapperSwordDance #MorrisFed #HaymarketRapper

Worth reading for Morris sides who've just joined Bluesky (esp. on differences to Twitter)
