It may not even matter. Models showed a lull of just scattered showers over the I-95 corridor until the overnight. But it is already coming to an end. With the storm now coming west, that band of heavy rain over S New England should pivot right down into the Philly area in a few hours.

That was my first #XPNfest and the first one shared with my future wife, Alison (who had volunteered in years past, including the flood the year before). That was the year Eastern Conference Champions with Josh Ostrander (Mondo Cozmo) played. I worked with ECC's Greg Lyons at a sports web site.

Runners Could Be Charged

Sands said sheriff's officials are also investigating whether runners entered ponds and restricted areas.

"The Sheriff's Office is also reviewing the conduct of race participants, including individuals who entered county park ponds and other restricted areas," he said.

When asked if a runner could be charged with an offense, he said, "That is certainly a possibility."

Some appeared to have jumped into a duck pond, he said.

This radar loop is from around 7 a.m. They ran this race in the middle of a flash flood warning with part of the course on low ground through a tunnel next to a river. And it was still raining! My other question is...why would any runner enter waist deep flood water?

This is what I hate about Trenton weather observations. They are recorded at the airport (circled), which is in Ewing & 2 miles away from the city limits of Trenton (nearly 5 miles from downtown). Rain recorded at TTN was just 0.98", but radar & nearby reports say it's likely 2-3" IN Trenton.

Simpson looks like he is on the base with the ball clearly not in Matt Olson's mitt in the first image. If you go one frame later, Simpson's foot is definitely on the bag and you can still see the ball bouncing off the dirt into Olson's mitt. We can all see this, MLB. Why can't your people in NYC?

The old Spectrum vibes are immaculate... sixers.com/news/philade...
The arena’s architecture draws inspiration from the shape of the Spectrum, which hosted the Flyers and the 76ers for nearly three decades, and reimagines it through a contemporary design lens. The exterior will be defined by stacked, cantilevered bands that break down the scale of a typical arena and create a bold, instantly recognizable profile as a new South Philadelphia landmark.

Reading about the fall of World Cafe Live and I really have to question Ed Snider's former wife Martha McGeary Snider for thinking any of the highlighted traits of Joe Callahan made him a fit for CEO of a community-driven live music venue. They're all RED FLAGS! www.phillymag.com/news/2026/08...
Snider says she and Callahan first met around 2010, when Snider was seeking a record deal for a musician friend of hers and was told Callahan had contacts that could help make it happen. She says she was immediately blown away by his intensity, work ethic, and technological know-how. He spoke of automated systems, AI, and, most passionately, virtual reality. “He showed me the future,” Snider recalls.

Snider thought Callahan might be exactly what WCL needed, and the idea immediately appealed to Callahan.

Love how they designed and partially built a roller coaster to traverse over land VAI Resorts does not own. Why would they assume this billboard — again, on land they don't own — wouldn't be a problem? Seems pretty damn incompetent.
Google Maps Street View of the partially constructed Twin Mill Racer roller coaster at Mattel Adventure Park in Glendale, Arizona. Circled is a billboard on land adjacent to the park that is not owned by the developer, yet the roller coaster was designed to go through where the billboard is. The developer started building the coaster anyway even though the billboard's owner refuses to sell the land or remove the billboard.
