One of my favorite childhood games is Star Fox 64… and let me tell you, Star Fox for Nintendo Switch 2 is the real deal. A pitch perfect retelling of that original story, and a real technical showcase for the console. I hope it serves as a foundation for some great future games.

beautifully written! I've only attended one WWDC in-person - 2019, which looking back was a great one to go to - but the experience has similarly stuck with me. (that was also an all-timer episode of Connected!)

Curious how capable Siri AI's model is on iOS 27 DP1, so I tried out @simonwillison.net 's “Generate an SVG of a pelican riding a bicycle” prompt. Siri's guardrails didn't want to do it at first, but with a little bit of coaxing... #SiriAI

Done with work for the rest of the year! Can’t wait to kick back and get some real work done on the @activas@mastodon.social updates I’ve been teasing, and to revisit one of my favorite games of the Gamecube generation before moving onto MP4!

Apologies to our EU users - it looks like Apple is requiring some verification from us to get Activas back up on your App Stores. We submitted the required documentation today and hope to have the app restored very soon! Thank you all for the support and feedback with today's launch!

A few years ago, I took a cross country drive across the country. I brought a film camera to document, but was nervous to get them developed. I finally took the plunge - I think I'm going to have to shoot film more often! (Superia X-TRA 400) #FilmPhotography #fotomontag #sunset #landscape #fujifilm

A quiet rural scene with power lines running alongside a road, surrounded by dry grass and scattered trees under a clear blue sky.

An empty parking lot at sunset with a large sign reading "CASINO" and a few trucks parked nearby.

A mountainous landscape with layered red and beige rock formations, trees, and a cloudy sky overhead.

The new Affinity Studio 3.0 is here. The good: all the core functionality from Affinity 2.0 is now free! (yay!) The bad: it all now requires a Canva account, and there are new subscription based generative AI features. (boo!) macOS and Windows for now, iPad "coming soon" www.affinity.studio

Happy new Taylor Swift music day to all who celebrate! I just finished my first listen and I get big “Lover” vibes, like this is the album she would have released after that if COVID hadn’t happened. As a Folklore/Evermore/Anthology type of guy, this just mostly isn’t my cup of tea, but it is fun!

Everyone is talking about the Battlefield 6 beta - and I’m sure for good reason, it looks great! But honestly the new release of the week for me is easily Apex Legends for Switch 2. 60 fps, HDR, amazing performance and clarity in portable mode. This is easily my new favorite way to play #gaming

iPad Pro life hack - I’m (probably needlessly) paranoid about burn-in on my iPad Pro’s OLED display, so I’ve taken to full screening a 100% black image on my iPad’s built in display while using an external display. OLED means screen is totally off, and no loss in functionality!
