We will not stand quietly while our democracy is weakened. We will fight with every tool we have: civic pressure, advocacy, and community organizing. Our kids, our values, and our future deserve better.

Last night, the House passed 2 destructive bills – the D.C. Crimes Act and the D.C. Juvenile Sentencing Reform Act – measures that undermine our local governance, erode proven juvenile justice practices, and risk long-term public safety in Washington, D.C.

As a gay man, a renter, and someone who’s spent my career serving DC’s seniors and vulnerable residents, I know firsthand how much is at stake for our community. Ward 1 needs bold leadership that puts people first and makes sure government works for everyone.

My priorities are clear: build & preserve affordable housing, invest in our small business corridors, & strengthen public safety with both accountability and community-based solutions.

I’m running for DC Council because we can’t afford the same old politics. Ward 1 needs fresh energy, bold ideas, & leadership that delivers results.

Over the past several months, I’ve heard the same thing from neighbors across Ward 1 - it’s getting harder to afford living in DC. Renters are being squeezed, small businesses are struggling, and too many families are being pushed out of the communities they helped build.
