brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Every year more people discover that riding in winter is practical and pleasurable. Maybe not every day, but easily the majority of winter days. Calgary is a chinook city. 010

brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 29/08/2026It’s only obstruction if it’s not moving (through a green light) etc. Otherwise is just going below the speed limit (which we should point out is a maximum speed limit, not minimum). 000
brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Is “disciplined spending on capital projects “ a colloquialism for continuing the buybacks and dividends” ? Or “we want more taxpayer money “? 020
brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Would be good to get billionaires to pay income tax but I can still see issues with that 000
brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 20/07/2026And if we’re going to talk about stop signs …first I have no problem with cars and trucks slowing down at a stop sign to a very safe speed, not necessarily stopping and the proceeding. And that’s what almost all drivers do , and never seen a cop give a ticket. Same for cyclists. 010
brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 20/07/2026I’ve tried dismounting at crossings and had drivers get pissed off and aggressive for taking too long to cross. As the person to suffer the consequences of a crash with a car , I should be the one to choose to walk or ride across. 310
brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Yes , probably 30-50% of what we use now and a lot of that for non combustion purposes. 030
brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Thanks for your concern. However , most cyclists are perfectly competent to determine if they need to dismount at a crosswalk and many times dismounting would only slow traffic and /or be dangerous . It would be like saying car drivers should get out and push their car across an intersection. 110

brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Private healthcare only works well (ie . Profitable for the owners of the healthcare companies) if the public system is in shambles. Now what if those private healthcare company owners are well connected to the government? Hmmm 🤔 000

brewsd.bsky.social @brewsd.bsky.social · 07/06/2026If your goal is to get support for private healthcare, destroy public healthcare and people will say “screw this I need my broken leg fixed, even if I have to pay for it” 010
