If you believe that then give your head a wobble….its utter tripe.

Rio Ferdinand has a track record of backing losers and being wrong about most things most of the time.

It’s a pity he left the squad, he is the type of player the opposition want to play against, slow, immobile, moody and petulant let’s face it nobody can sulk like Ronaldo.

I think it was written by Piers Morgan, it is the sort of utter drivel he says about Ronaldo all the time.

I would be for that but It would mean several clubs breaking away and forming the European super league….in any event the premier league will have to change because I believe Man City will expose the closed shop approach within the Premiership and once exposed so openly will be game over for the PFL

The main difference is that Abu Dhabi have invested real money developing large areas of Manchester regenerating run down areas which does benefit the people of Manchester…The investments around Farage just benefit him.

bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
They have invested huge amounts regenerating large areas in Manchester that is a matter of record….Burnham was mayor he is aware of it and clearly he is worried they will pull out…yes they have clearly cheated in the football club but let’s not pretend they did not invest.

I am not a Man City fan but it’s laughable to suggest there is any honour in the Premiership…..Nobody is allowed to compete with the big six….they even tried to set up their own league.

bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
A MUFC scorched earth policy is a real possibility, we could see the Premiership implode as Man City appeal to the high court and then effectively dob in other clubs, this could see investors pulling out of the league and TV monies plunging this would result in a huge readjustment of league status.

Completely agree Mary, Tucker could do with reading the “rise and fall of the third reich” by W.L Shirer it’s a bit long I guess but with help he may get through it.

The Telegraph will always find a way to make this about Labour…. Let the process work through we don’t need the hysterical media telling us what the think we can work out for ourselves truth from fiction.

Well struggle no more murder/execution is wrong when carried out by individuals and it unconscionable when carried out by a society….look at a list of countries that have rejected execution and compare it with those that still carry it out…remember the medical oath “ first do no harm”

Well to start with they have Doctors who know they are doing, no decent Doctor would participate in a forced execution.

I suspect she is permanently injured as a result of this botched murder attempt, oxygen to the brain would have been severely affected she may well have permanent brain damage.

The other poster is correct in that the drug companies who make those drugs will not allow the government to use them on humans….Let’s face it nobody wants to be associated with state murder.

I agree with you in principle but legally they are owned by a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family not the state of Abu Dhabi even though we know that is undoubtedly the same…just that legally it isn’t.

Don’t hold your breath, he has given everything in all his Wales matches often getting injured doing it, however for Leeds he is a shadow of that player.

With today’s media that would not cut it they would just accuse him of being under Abu Dhabi’s thumb at least this way he has highlighted why he feels as he does.

bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
To be fair as PM he has to be concerned how Abu Dhabi would react to the UK if. Football related issue spilled into a diplomatic issue…investment from countries like them is essential.

The league lost credibility years ago when they punished big clubs (Chelsea) far more leniently than smaller clubs (Everton/Forrest), FIFA sums up football governance worldwide…corrupt, greedy, incompetent and self serving.

So you listened to Gabby Agbonlahor waxing lyrical with his legal prowess or was it Simon Jordan pontificating on his time as a club owner or maybe be even Jim White coming up with unbelievable doomsday scenarios on what will happen To city…either way turn it off and listen to some music.

You are just conflating several things, the guys initial post was referring to legal frees(costs) the other penalties are a separate matter no less valid but nevertheless seperate.

I have not argued against any of that all I have pointed out is that you cannot sue them into liquidation…. You can try remove sure but all you do then is to destroy lots of jobs for people who had nothing to do with cheating…and if you seriously think that Abu Dhabi would not fight you are deluded.
200
bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
Not possible to sue them into liquidation they are a nation state owned club, football does not need shaming FIFA and UEFA can manage that on their own.
100
bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
He is talking about costs, not the amount they elegantly pumped into the club.

The Man City thing is going to become Boring pretty quickly there is only so many times you can listen to Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville banging on about possible punishments each trying to outdo the other in the severity before you just want it all to stop.
000
bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
The other big difference is back then the media where not prone to hysterical meltdowns and we didn’t have poorly educated ex footballers talking utter nonsense demonstrating faux outrage while keeping quiet while other clubs (Chelsea etc) have done similar things.

A supertanker is faster than England….we have fifty passes from back to front and then Lewis Skelly holds the ball up to let the Czech defence get set.

Very concerned for Sky Sports reporters they are having a hysterical meltdown by the end of the night they will be speculating that Man City executives are all cheats and as such need to moved to Chelsea to learn how to cheat properly. #lufc

He is a total idiot, and the fact that bullshitter Mike Dean has weighed in tells you what nonsense it is.

bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Our society aided by the media gave this scum a platform on which to broadcast his brand of fascism, the media will do nothing to rectify any of this as they enabled it in the first place and to do so would highlight their own culpability.

Dont celebrate too much this could result in a points deduction for Everton.

bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
Well with our media you can guarantee they will exaggerate the worst case scenario and speculate wildly about who is responsible and then tomorrow the Daily Mail can blame Andy Burnham for not seeing it coming.

bretwelda.bsky.social @bretwelda.bsky.social · 27/09/2026
At the moment the fever surrounding Man City is all encompassing, many in the media getting carried away as they do. Ex footballers demonstrating their poor grasp of reality and fans conveniently forgetting the financial cheating of their own clubs…truth is corruption in modern football is rife.

Owners are allowed to finance the club it happens all the time, the rules only stop them using those funds for buying players and paying wages over and above the percentage of club profits you are allowed to use.

You cannot make a nation state “ not for and proper” you can only make that case for individual directors… it that happens they will replace them.
