Set layouts for a horror/action scene in Wretched 2. My crappy scribbles on the right. My brother’s clean pro work on the left.

Joe Abercrombie’s The Devils comes out on Tuesday. His grimdark fantasy series The First Law is just screaming to become one of the best TV series if they ever can manage it. And now he’s tackling a new world with a horror spin. My most anticipated book this year coming out right by my birthday :)

So we were terrible at documenting the process of making The Wretched but we’re fixing that with part 2. Gonna be obnoxiously posting a lot on here about the process so apologies in advance. Some storyboarding today as we build the practical fx sequences.

More fun. Dad’s notes with Tom Sullivan’s storyboards on how to accomplish the meltdown sequence in Evil Dead.

Found this today in Dad’s stuff. He and mom’s invite to the first screening ever of Evil Dead at the Redford Theater in Michigan.

I spend way too long picking out an image for our title page. This one feels just right.

Producer and co-director feet with me stuck in the middle writing a logline.

And if you're looking for a great horror distraction today check out The Silver Coin. It's my new comic book obsession. A connected anthology of stories by various creators steered by writer/artist Michael Walsh. I'm obsessed.
