There are still several rental starting pitchers available who improve the 2026 Cubs. I wouldn't complain about any. It's just that I'd prefer, at this point, post-Gausman, that the Cubs add someone who improves 2026 AND 2027+.

Heard this: Cubs asking price on Pete Crow-Armstrong is "extremely high."

One injured starting pitcher? Weather it. Two injured starting pitchers? Make a trade. Three injured starting pitchers? Make two trades. Four injured starting pitchers? Hold, wait and see. Five injured starting pitchers? Weep. Six injured starting pitchers? Lol wut

There is still a chance that Justin Steele could contribute this year, but it would likely be in "shorter bursts." Full story: www.bleachernation.com/cubs/2026/06...

Nothing feels more weird at this moment in the 2026 Cubs season than thinking about how they are still in a playoff spot.

FOLKS. On Thursday of this week, you can (1) make real life friends, (2) while watching the Cubs, and (3) enjoying free drinks. How can you say no? Anyone can come, but registering (free) in advance will guarantee your spot and get you in early: luma.com/kis3jf6z

After yesterday's monster performance at the plate, Cubs catching prospect Owen Ayers is up to a .312/.424/.682/182 wRC+ slash line on the season. That wRC+? It's the highest in all of minor league baseball.

People want to say it's all this guy, or that guy, but it takes a village to go more than a month without winning a series. With precious few exceptions, the entirety of the Cubs' big league machinery is doing its part to lose these games.

If the Cubs are looking for someone to give up another 10 homers today, I just want them to know I’m rested and available.

The Chicago Cubs last won a series on May 7. By losing last night to the A's, they've already locked in another series loss. That means the earliest we could next see the Cubs win a series is June 7 against the Giants. AT LEAST a full month between series wins.

What I wanted to say is a joke about people overreacting about two Cubs wins. And I did say that. I don't much love when folks don't use capitalization or punctuation, but I'm not gonna poop my pants about it.

four teams have had two stretches like this at any point in the same season, the 2017 Dodgers, 1987 Brewers, and 1930 Cardinals. The Brewers also did it the same way as the Cubs (a 20-3 record followed by a 2-14)

The Cubs have had a 20-3 stretch immediately followed by a 2-14 stretch. How is that even possible?

The best version of the Chicago Cubs rotation this year would go: Cade Horton (injured) Justin Steele (injured) Edward Cabrera (injured) Matthew Boyd (injured) Shota Imanaga (bubble-wrapped)
