Agree. I've been riding a nicer Surly as of late and plan to get one of the newer angle grinder resistant locks. Less attractive and harder to steal is a good route to go though.

Quality u lock won't do much to stop a cordless angle grinder unfortunately.

Can I recommend the illuminatus trilogy as a vaccine to conspiratorial thinking? Merely one dose in the schedule, but it allows you to engage in the hyper absurdity of conspiracies without contracting Twitter brain rot.

That's an exciting bit - I didn't know. I genuinely do not have a sense of the scale of the act here. Not trying to defend Man City. Just trying to contextualize what they did, since the EFL is full of books and crannies I do not understand fully.

Lying to my friend about how much money I have in the bank is "financial fraud", but it's not a crime. I suspect this opens them up to civil penalties, but I don't think they committed a crime. Happy to be shown I am wrong.

I don't think they "laundered money", as in turned drug money into some sort of legitimate source of funds. I think they did a sports crime and spent money on players illegally according to premier League rules. They didn't do IRL financial crimes that will put them in prison. Thus, Kawhi-like

Can I get the two sentence version of the Man City scandal? Is it as simple as "Man City faked sponsorships to pump their own money into the club. Premier League rules have limits on how much owner money can be used for X,Y,Z" This is closer to Kawhi than Mark Walters in terms of illegality.

The journalist's code of ethics and the poster's Bushido are not the same. This is clearly not the Cortland bridge. The fallout from this "misinformation" is minimal. I'd even argue that the in this information environment - low stake bits can be beneficial for disinfo-literacy.

I don't often say this, but good job Chicago alders and good job Brandon Johnson. In addition to this concession, they also carved out some additional payments $75m + 5% of revenue, plus a reduction in the payouts for out of commission meters.

Eggplant parm sandwich + giardiniera. A bit of extra acid, heat, and crunch that levels everything up.

With the influx of escooters and ebikes I've recently resorted to taking the whole bike lane to deny close passes in one way pbls. The already negligible infrastructure gets harder to navigate with the growth in fast, but unskilled riders.

Rookie year he was totally out of his depth. Last pre-season he looked like he could at least doggy paddle consistently and there were a few plays where the footwork and ability to anchor popped. Then he got injured.

Buying metal plates to heat is an added cost and I'm assuming not terribly efficient for heat transfer. Most expensive cookware works, unless you're a copper freak. For most folks swapping out some aluminum cookware for steel shouldn't be the biggest barrier to entry. It's the electrical.

Why are induction ranges not it? There's cost to install if the electrical needs to be updated, the glass can break, and magnetic cookware is required. But outside of charring tortillas there's nothing a solid induction range can't do as good or better than gas.
