My old pappy always used to say, "there is no more deeply satisfying religious experience... than cheatin' on a cheater."
A minimax-m2.5 llm prompt asked "what is your name", responding saying it is "Claude, created by Anthropic"

AI helps me with what I know and what I know I don't know. But it rarely reveals anything about what I don't know I don't know. Those unknown unknowns often only surface through the process of doing the work myself. If we offload too much to AI, what will we fail to discover?

Zinnias are amazing flowers with layers of color and texture. The pollinators love them too. Sony a7riii with a Loawa 100mm at f/11, 1/250 sec, ISO 640. Stacked with three images. #noaiphoto

This time of year is crazy for us. We've got over 700 peony plants, and they all are popping!

LLM hallucinations can be a feature, rather than a bug. If the robots continuously think your code should look a particular way, or an API should exist, maybe you should seriously consider it?

I love using AI for my lazy designs. "Make this a nice red"
Screenshot of Cursor, where I've highlighted a CSS color property and prompted the LLM to make this a nice red.

I don't find it surprising that CEOs support hierarchy and authority as natural order. How else do you justify pay and power differences, if it isn't you don't deserve it because you are better, more hard working, etc, etc
Right-wing politics is the range of political ideologies that view certain social orders and hierarchies as inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable, typically supporting this position based on natural law, economics, authority, property, religion, or tradition. Hierarchy and inequality may be seen as natural results of traditional social differences or competition in market economies.

Better be happy... or else
Dear Team,

Recently, we conducted a survey to understand your feelings about stress at work. Many of you shared your concerns, which we deeply value and respect.

As a company committed to fostering a healthy and supportive work environment, we have carefully considered the feedback. To ensure that no one remains stressed at work, we have made the difficult decision to part ways with employees who indicated significant stress.

This decision is effective immediately, and impacted employees will receive further details separately.

Thank you for your contributions.

Best regards,

HR Manager, Yes Madam

Does having more make you justify yourself more? Or does having more humble you with the realization you aren't special, just somehow opportunities worked out in your favor?

Early in my career, I idolized developers like John Resig (jQuery) and Jeremy Ashkenas (BackboneJS & CoffeeScript), never imagining I could create developer tools myself.

1998 for me. And both of these had a huge impact on me. Half-Life modding is probably what got me into programming.
