No, the links aren't corrupt. Someone went in and created their own links for whatever dumb purposes that shut down the site. If you made a URL, it just won't load right now (which is annoying enough, but not sending people to something bad).

Hi All, I've been notified that edushare.ing is down. I got flagged for "abuse" - so either there was some sort of bot attack, or the other redirect programs that are pushing ads into your free teacher resources are mad at me. Likely the first one, but regardless, I'm working on it.

I don't blame anyone for wanting to get paid for their work, but subscriptions are out of control. Perfect example of something that would be a no-questions-about-it one time payment, but subscriptions should mean that something new is being provided regularly.

It's really brand new, so if it's blocked it's probably because of the .ing URL, which is fairly uncommon. If a district just blocks URL shorteners by default, then we're all kind of up the creek (until you turn off your wifi and access it on your cell data, I guess) 😣

Kathryn, would you let me know if it works at district? It's fine on my campus, but I did have someone tell me she couldn't access it at her district until she turned off wifi and went cellular 😣 I think some districts just autoblock unusual URLs like .ing, but if I can fix anything, I will!

Heads up that @bitlyofficial.bsky.social is going to start sliding advertisements into your links. Teachers, keep an eye out as you'll likely have no control over who those advertisers are. Looking at the state of online ads these days though, it's probably not something you'd endorse. 😩

New randomized, controlled trial by the World Bank of students using GPT-4 as a tutor in Nigeria. Six weeks of after-school AI tutoring = 2 years of typical learning gains, outperforming 80% of other educational interventions. And it helped all students, especially girls who were initially behind.
